Battle Cards
Gonna catch them all? Do you have enough mana? Will your alliance of Laser Enhanced TRexes destroy your rival's army of Ninjas and SteamPunkers? Come to M1 to find out.
Students are invited to bring their Battle Card decks to find an opponent or to show off their
collection. Bring your favorite Battle Cards from Pokemon to Yu-Gi-Oh to Smash Up to
Munchkins to Magic the Gathering. I will provide no decks..... so bring yours! Battles are for
fun only. No student is permitted to surrender their card as the price of defeat.

This club will allow students the ability to learn more about various STEM challenges that are
available to them and give them the time to apply for those challenges. Some of these
challenges come with free trips, scholarship opportunities, cool swag, and more. Come along
and see what is “Beyond the Horizons.”

Canva is a fun simple graphic design web tool that is an easy alternative to Photoshop. It is
loaded with templates and fun stock photos that you can simply drag and drop your
information in from images to text and allows for using your own photos, as well. Completed
designs can be published in many ways such as a link, image, PDF or with social media.

Students will use their draw a design and transfer the design on contact paper then they will
place that on a glass mug or a mirror and cut the design out using exacto knife and then they
will sand blast the design on the sand blaster machine.
Go back in time and watch the early days of Harry Potter and friends.

Jenga
Innovation Station is a club for the imagination and problem solving. Students will be given a
real life problem, puzzle or challenge to solve. Brainstorming will take place as a group and
selecting activities will depend on the students' combined interests. Perhaps it's a Minute to
Win It type challenge, a real life problem like child hunger, an elaborate Lego structure, or a
toaster to disassemble and inspect the design... What can you imagine? What problem
would you like to solve?
Inspire friends, family or teachers with handmade signs, letters or artful creations. Students
will choose a different person each week to thank or inspire and learn different lettering
techniques to use on their creations.

Let's get together for some movie and video magic. Students will be able to select short
videos (clips, home videos, watch a movie, etc.) to me before club time for the movie goers
to watch. Students may bring their personal movie snacks as well!

If you love listening to your music with your earbuds, this is the club for you! No one to bother
you, just you and your music. This club is designed to be a distraction free zone where you

Zendoodling is the art of drawing designs using structured patterns or 'Zentangles.' When
you draw a Zendoodle, you’re creating a work of art, but you’re also deliberately creating a
mood, focus, and state of mind. You don’t have to be Michaelangelo to create a great
Zendoodle. Because they’re based around following a series of steps focused on a set of
patterns, it’s easy for beginners to get started. All you need to get started is a pencil, a felt tip
pen, a piece of paper, and your imagination!
