A SIX DOLLAR CHARGE WILL BE EXPECTED WHEN APPLYING FOR A PARKING PERMIT. IF
THE PERMIT IS LOST FOR ANY REASON, A TEN DOLLAR CHARGE WILL BE IMPOSED. IN THE
EVENT OF A THIRD PERMIT BEING ISSUED A TWENTY DOLLAR CHARGE WILL BE LEVIED.
PLEASE NOTE: THESE MONIES MAY BE USED TO OFFSET TOWING CHARGES.
ALL BOOKS, ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT NEED TO BE RETURNED AND FINES PAID BEFORE YOU
CAN RECEIVE YOUR PARKING PERMIT. BRING THIS FORM (MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR

REPORTED TO THE SOUTH OFFICE EACH MORNING IN ORDER TO INFORM THE SCHOOL

SENIOR DRIVING CONTRACT
1.
SENIOR PARKING IS IN THE WEST AND EAST PARKING LOTS. SENIORS PARKING IN AN
AREA NOT DESIGNATED BY THEIR PARKING PERMIT COULD BE FINED AND HIS/HER
PARKING PRIVILEGES REMOVED FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.

Students are not permitted to leave school grounds for lunch. Students are not permitted to
leave school grounds for any reason without written permission from an Administrator. Failure to
comply will result in the following:
First Offense………… Two detentions
Second Offense……. One-month suspension of driving privileges and three days GASP.
Third Offense………. Suspension of driving privilege for remainder of school year and
five days GASP.

No student is permitted to go to his/her car during the regular school day without written
permission from an Administrator. Failure to comply will result in the following:

1 day detention
Two-week revocation of driving privilege & one day detention.
One-month revocation of driving privilege & two days detention.
Suspension of driving privilege for the remainder of the school
year.
The permit shall be displayed on the rear windshield driver’s side of the vehicle in such a manner
to be clearly visible by a police officer or security personnel designated by the Board of
Education.
5.
A STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO REGISTER ONLY ONE VEHICLE WITH THE OFFICE.

A six dollar charge will be expected when applying for a parking permit. If the permit is
lost for any reason, a ten dollar charge will be imposed. In the event of a third permit
being issued a twenty dollar charge will be levied. Please note; these monies may be
used to offset towing charges.

Only the student using the permit is allowed to complete the application. GIVING YOUR
PARKING PERMIT TO ANOTHER STUDENT WILL RESULT IN THE REVOCATION OF
PARKING PRIVILEGES FOR BOTH STUDENTS.
8.
If you are going on a class trip and you are scheduled to leave before school starts, you must
park in your assigned spot.

Motor Vehicles Policy
(Students)
Policy No. 5131.3R
A copy of the Board of Education’s policy governing motor vehicles and regulations shall be issued to each
student who applies for a parking permit.
An application for a parking permit shall be completed by each student, listing pertinent information including
driver’s license number, name of applicant, date of birth, owner of the vehicle to be driven to school, vehicle
registration number, year, make, model and color of the car.
The principal shall have cause to retain in the principal’s office the completed application for a parking permit
allowing students to drive and park on school property and the parking permit number.
Students who possess a valid parking permit must display it on the rear windshield driver’s side. Parking
permits may not be transferred to other individuals.
Students who, for whatever reason, drive to school in a vehicle without a parking permit must report the
information to the South Office upon arrival at school.
VEHICLES PARKED ON SCHOOL PROPERTY DURING SCHOOL HOURS WITHOUT A PARKING PERMIT
APPROPRIATELY DISPLAYED, OR FOR WHICH NO REPORT HAS BEEN MADE TO THE SOUTH OFFICE,
WILL BE SUBJECT TO HAVING THE VEHICLE TOWED AWAY. ANY TOWING FEES SHALL BE AT THE
EXPENSE OF THE STUDENT OR OWNER OF THE VEHICLE AND NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
SCHOOL.
Driving to school and parking on school property is a privilege which may be revoked by the principal or higher
authority.
Policy No. 5131.3
It is the policy of the Board that students refrain from driving motor vehicles to and from school unless official
permission has been granted by the Administration.
The Board shall permit students to park their motor vehicles in assigned parking areas on a priority basis
established by the Board of Education. All motor vehicles including motorcycles, mopeds and the like shall be
registered with the office of the school principal. Motor vehicles shall not be improperly used as a depository for
substances or objects which are illegal or in violation of school rules or which constitute a threat to the health,
safety and welfare of the occupants of the school building. In order to protect the school community from harm
and to cooperate with the municipal or state authorities, a school official having reasonable grounds to suspect
that a student has violated or is violating either the law of the state or the rules of the school, by depositing
substances or objects which are illegal or otherwise violate school rules or which constitute a threat to the
health, safety and/or welfare of the occupants of the school building shall enter the motor vehicles to inspect
same. Students are not permitted to sit in parked motor vehicles or congregate in the parking area either prior
to school, during the school day or prior to school opening or after closing. Not withstanding anything to the
contrary herein, the Board declares that the designated parking area shall constitute public places and shall
conduct inspections at any time of any motor vehicle in said public place without any reason, cause or notice.
Students shall not have an expectation of privacy in their motor vehicles when on the school premises.
Students shall be informed of this policy when registering their motor vehicles. Parents shall also be informed of
this policy. The Superintendent shall promulgate regulations to implement this policy.

CONSENT TO DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING
I, __________________________, parent/guardian of a Brick Township student driver and I,

community ____________ team for this academic year, do hereby consent to random urine and

saliva testing of drivers for the duration of the season in accordance with school policy. I am
signing this form so that everyone in the school District can know with certainty that
representation of the High School is not and will not be tainted by the presence of illegal
substances.
Specifically, we hereby authorize the School District, through an agent of the School Board of
Education, to request (at any time and without prior warning) that the student named above will
submit a urine and a saliva sample for drug screening at a laboratory of the School District’s
choosing. We are fully aware if any one test of urine (drugs) and/or saliva (alcohol) reveals the
presence of any substance prohibited by law or any prescription/medication not legally
prescribed, that I, the student named above, shall be suspended from team games and practices
according to school policy. I, the student driver, further voluntarily agree that if at any time I
refuse to submit a sample for testing this shall be considered a positive test result.
It is understood that those school policy provisions concerning the use, possession, or
distribution of illegal substances and/or alcohol on school premises shall remain unaffected by
this Consent to Drug Testing.
All initial costs associated with the testing will be paid by the District. Any subsequent testing
cost to insure that I, the student driver, am no longer using an illegal substance shall be borne by
my parents/guardians.
I, the student driver, authorize the release of information concerning the results of such a test to
the building principal, or his designee, and my parent/guardian.

consent to the drug and alcohol testing agreement and recognize the above signature as that of
my son/daughter. I have been provided a copy of the Policy and Procedures for Random Drug

the building principal or his designee.
