D-Hotel Maris is 130 km away from Dalaman International airport, 155 km from Bodrum International airport, 35 km distance
from city of Marmaris. The D-Hotel Maris offers transfers from Dalaman, Bodrum or Izmir round trip or one way transfers by
comfortable VIP cars or private helicopter. Helicopter transfer from / to Dalaman or Bodrum airports takes only 25 minutes.
All transfers should be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

There are seven cocktail or wine bars sprinkled around the resort to choose from at D-Hotel Maris. The ZUMA Lounge located on the first floor of the hotel, the Aqua Bar– settled
on the main beach, El Vino – the fine wine, whisky and cognac bar and the glamorous Coliseum – situated at the tip of the peninsula, with DJ performances or live bands on
some days at certain times. The other bars are situated at the pool, in the lobby by tennis courts.

Each one of the five stunning natural sanded beaches offers their own individual concept for guests at D-Hotel Maris; Bay
beach has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag rating. The Bay is the largest beach, also features DJ performance in the
afternoon and offers à la carte snack menu during day and three different à la carte dining alternatives during the evening;
Another beach is located next to Il Riccio; the “Silence” beach is for those wishing a quieter area to relax; the “Executive”
beach features six stylish cabanas especially dedicated for Executive Club Lounge guests and “Coliseum” beach at the tip of
the peninsula benefits from both the calmer sea and windier side. Silence Beach is available for children after 12 years.

Unique bay offers the best water sport facilities in the area with water skiing, wakeboarding, in cooperation with an international
sailing school windsurfing, catamaran sailing as well as certified dive center. D-Hotel Maris is the ultimate location for water

DESTINATION FACTS
Akyaka & Gökova
Akyaka is situated in the southwest region of Turkey, at the eastern end of the Gökova Gulf, approximately 58 km from D-Hotel Maris. Its delightful position at the end of the Gökova gulf bordered in the north by the
almost 1000 m high Sakartepe and in the south by the wetlands of the Gökova plain ("heaven's plain") along with its multitude of species, particularly water birds, takes the visit into its spell. The main attraction for
most of the visitors is the natural beauty of Akyaka , with a multitude of species in the wetlands, among those the nearly extinct European Fish otter (lutralutra). During the winter months, different types of herons,
flamingos, even migrating pelicans can be observed with some luck. The fish restaurants on the bank of the crystal clear "Kadın Azmak" ('Woman river”), where freshly caught fish is perfectly prepared and served, are
very well known by gourmets throughout Turkey.
Bayır
The mountain village of Bayır lies 36 km from D-Hotel Maris and is best known for its ancient plane tree that stands in the main village square next to the mosque. The tree is said to be 2300 – 2500 years old and its
huge trunk has become a symbol of long life, where the local folklore says that walking around the tree, three times, can extend one's life. Bayır is also located on the ancient city of Syrna. At the place where there is a
mosque now, it is believed that there was a temple dedicated for Asklepios, the God of Health although no traces exist today. The acropolis is located two kilometers on the northeast side of the village: about a halfhour's walk. Along the way you may see the remnants of the city walls, some grave stone and structures.
Bozburun
Bozburun, is a lovely relaxed town approximately 43 km from D-Hotel Maris. Most people arrive in Bozburun by yacht or gullet and this should not be surprising as Bozburun is also world-famous for the construction of
wooden Turkish gullets, traditional two masts, light rigged schooners, built entirely using centuries-old traditions. Bozburun is an excellent place to retreat from the pressures of modern life. The quiet town is blessed
with beautiful bays and coves, with the heritage of ancient civilizations. Near Bozburun are the ruins of the city of Larymna, on AsarTepesi. It takes about 45 minutes to climb the hill, where you will find the remains of
the city walls and graves scattered around. From the hilltop you can get a good view of the Greek islands nearby.
Datça & Knidos
Knidos is an ancient settlement located in Datça, approximately 69 km from D-Hotel Maris. Knidos was a highly developed city in terms of science, architecture and art in ancient times. The most beautiful sides of this
historical city are its seasons and the sundial, which shows the time. The great tourist attraction, The Temple of Aphrodite, lies here and do does The Temple of Apollon, which is situated on the highest point of Knidos
and it is one of the most amazing historical places in the area.
Another sight to visit when you arrive in Datça is Eski Datça (Old Datça) which shows the typical architecture of the area with its beautiful old stone houses. Kizlan and its windmills has become a symbol for the region
and there are the remains of some ceramic manufactures between Eski Datça and Hizirsah village - where you may find the restored mosque inherited from the Seljuks period - thought to have been working during the
4th Century BC.
Hisarönü
13 km from D-Hotel Maris lies Hisarönu, a lovely little village which nestles at the foot of the mountains and spreads out towards the shore. It is said to have been founded at the time of Sultan Süleyman’s expedition to
Rhodes. Erine was the name of the village when the Greeks were living here and in Byzantine, Roman and Ottoman times it was believed that the clean sea and the outstanding greenery of the environment were good
for many ailments, leading to the foundation of many hospitals in the area, the remains which can still be seen to this day.

The district of Marmaris is located 35 km from D-Hotel Maris. Little is left of the sleepy fishing village that Marmaris was just a few decades ago after a construction boom in the 1980s. Marmaris still retains its charm due
to its exceptional location between two intersecting set of mountains by the sea. It is close to such ancient ruins as Physkos, Saranda, Amos and Loryma.
Only 8 kilometers from the large and vibrant city lies İçmeler. This pine forested heaven is infused with all the atmosphere of both the Mediterranean and the Aegean Seas and is the backdrop of the magnificent Taurus
Mountains. This olive and honey farming community is home to the best plant for producing oxygen in the world, the Sigla (or Gunnuk), which only found here and in California. This plant and the pristine forests and the
beach (which has been given the Blue Flag eco-award) create one of the most revitalizing surroundings for a beach holiday.
Orhaniye & Kızkumu
21 km away from D-Hotel Maris, and situated on the Loryma peninsula, lies Orhaniye with a deep blue sea, tall green mountains and fishing boats jostle amongst the yachts. Orhaniye is known for the beautiful
Kizkumu, a 600 meter long sand bar – where man really can “walk on water”. Reaching far out into the bay is a low spit of sand, and as you walk through the water up to your ankles, anyone looking over the bay from
a distance might be deceived into thinking you were walking on the water. Other local attractions include a waterfall and a traditional carpet factory. Other features of interest are the marina, the ancient church and a
castle used by the Knights of Rhodes. The village of Orhaniye, whose original name was Kırvasil, and whose past dates back to 3rd Century B.C., has a coast which is good for line fishing and the pirate’s island in the
middle of the bay will fulfill the expectations of those interested in activities such as climbing, diving and underwater fishing, and will provide interesting views for photographers and video camera enthusiasts.
Osmaniye
37 km from D-Hotel Maris, is a village in which nature has the upper hand. The profusion of pine forests has LED TV to the main village industry being the production of honey and is said to have a worldwide reputation
for some of the best pine honey around. The abundance of nature and rich biodiversity in the area also means that it is home to a large number of animals, birds and insects. The village is also surrounded by many
varieties of fruit trees such as apple, plum, olive, grape and pear.
Selimiye
Selimiye is a small resort, strung out along a stunning bay approximately 36 km from D-Hotel Maris. The boardwalk enables you to take a relaxing stroll by the sea, along the complete length of the town. You will pass a
number of wonderful restaurants, well known in the region for serving freshly caught fish. The town has a strong local reputation for traditional wooden boat building, so on the road into the town you will pass several
boat yards where you will see massive wooden gullets being built in time-honored traditional methods. Also look out for fresh figs, almonds and other goodies that you can buy from the small local shops. You may also
find a number of quality art and craft shops for souvenirs of your visit to Selimiye. It should be noted that there is no beach at Selimiye.
Taşlıca
Taslica is the last village on the Bozburun Peninsula, approximately 52 km from D-Hotel Maris, perched at the end of the Peninsula it enjoys fantastic panoramic views of the ocean that surrounds the village on three
sides. The ruins of the city of Pheonix, an ancient Carian settlement, can be seen 4 km away from Taşlıca. As you go from the village towards the ruins , you may come across ancient graves by the side of the old
footpath. The acropolis of the city is is at the top of AsarTepesi. Serçe (Sparrow) Harbour, one of Turkey’s most sheltered one, is among the best parts of the village to see, , with an entrance so narrow that no waves
can pass through.
Turgut
Turgut is a village that has been able to keep its unspoiled character with the status of a protected historical and natural area and is located 23 km from D-Hotel Maris.
The area is famous for its old waterfall of 6 meters in height and around the falls lies a breeding area for the Tiger Moth. About a kilometer along the road from the village to the waterfall it is possible to make out the
traces of an ancient structure on the hillside to the right. It is believed to be the tomb of the warrior Diagoras.
