The Future-Proof Anchor to Your Entertainment Needs
Welcome to the full potential of what a home theater receiver can be. Onkyo, the company that brought you the world’s first 7.1-channel,
THX-certified receiver, now unveils what a flagship receiver should be. The TX-NR1000 provides technology and design that will impress all,
from the audiophile to the casual listener. The THX Ultra2 badge on the front means that this receiver provides the guarantee of the highest
quality product available. Onkyo’s Premium Digital concept takes on a new state-of-the-art look with the addition of HDMI (High-Definition
Multimedia Interface) and i.LINK (IEEE1394) pure digital ports. All the latest encoding formats—THX Surround EX, DTS 96/24, Dolby Pro Logic
IIx, and more—are here along with the knowledge that you’re ready for the future with upgradable flash memory. Onkyo’s exclusive Net-Tune
protocol provides streaming music from your computer or Internet radio from the waves of cyberspace. So, for truly breathtaking performance
and features from a receiver that truly deserves to be christened as a flagship, audition the TX-NR1000 and find out what true home
entertainment is like.
THX Ultra2 Certified with THX Games Mode
Being a THX Ultra2-certified receiver means a lot to the TX-NR1000. Besides
its ability to produce exceptional movie sound quality through THX Ultra2 Cinema
and to reproduce truly uplifting music with THX MusicMode, it now integrates
THX Games Mode, a post-processing audio and technology feature that
revolutionizes the home video game experience by immersing the player into
the action. Completing the package, two THX processing technologies, Boundary
Gain Compression (BGC) and Advanced Speaker Array (ASA), optimize sound
dynamics for your listening environment.
Cutting-Edge Features
The included RS232 port, flash memory, a wide array of digital and analog
inputs and outputs on the rear, in addition to cutting-edge features such as
component video upconversion of composite and S-Video sources, allow you
the peace of mind in knowing that this receiver is not only ready for the rigors
of today’s home theater, but is also upgradable for those unknown needs of the
future. Since this is too good to keep in just one room, the TX-NR1000 also
gives you the capability to enjoy your movies or music in two additional rooms
giving you power in three different zones.
HDMI—High-Definition Multimedia Interface
The TX-NR1000 incorporates the latest in interface technology with the addition
of HDMI capability. This high-bandwidth interface supports not only remarkable
amounts of uncompressed digital video but audio as well. Up to 5 Gbps of data,
more than twice what’s needed for a high-definition movie with surround sound,
can be handled with room for future requirements. All this data is kept in the
digital domain as there are no D/A or A/D conversions needed to ensure the
highest sound and video quality available.
Onkyo Exclusive Technology
Onkyo has long been the leader in innovative technology and it doesn’t stop with
the TX-NR1000. Standards such as Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT)
and Optimum Gain Volume Circuitry join newcomers Vector Linear Shaping
Circuitry (VLSC), a unique D/A conversion circuit that provides a smoother
analog signal based on the digital source, and Net-Tune, Onkyo’s exclusive
protocol allowing you to stream the music files on your computer and unlock
the music of the world with Internet radio to give you the only line of networkready receivers on today’s market.
i.LINK Digital Audio Interface (IEEE1394)
The allure of surround sound DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD had previously
been limited by analog-only connections. i.LINK lets you broaden your
multi-channel experience while at the same time simplifying it. One wire allows
you to transmit high-resolution multi-channel music in the digital rather than the
previous analog domain to get the DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD experience
you’ve been waiting for.
All the Formats Known to Man
You may not have heard of our most recent formats. All the latest available
surround formats transform wherever you are into your personal home theater
or concert hall. THX Surround EX, DTS-ES, DTS 96/24, Dolby Digital EX and
Dolby Digital Pro Logic IIx envelope you with the latest generation of surround
sound encoding for the purest home entertainment experience.
