Guaranteed Admission Agreement
between
Dabney S. Lancaster Community College
and
Ashworth College
1. OVERVIEW
This articulation agreement will establish transfer policies, assist in student advising and promote
cooperation between Ashworth College and Dabney S. Lancaster Community College.
2. AGREEMENT
A. Admissions Policies
1. Dabney S. Lancaster Community College graduates will be admitted into the
Ashworth College RN to BSN program.
2. Students must graduate with an associate’s degree in nursing and have a cumulative
GPA of at least 2.0.
3. Students must have an active, unencumbered RN license.
B. Acceptance and Application of Credits
1. All students will have at least 60 credits transfer to Ashworth’s RN to BSN program.
2. Under this agreement, all courses with a grade of C or higher applied to the
associate’s degree program will be articulated into the bachelor’s program, not to
exceed 75 credit hours. Ashworth College, however, cannot guarantee that the
student will be able to complete all requirements for graduation within a 120-credit
hour minimum.
3. Credit will be given for the Health Assessment Course (200 level) and Statistics as
follows:
i. Health Assessment: 3 credit hours (NUR 226, Health Assessment)
ii. Statistics: 3 credit hours (MTH 146, Introduction to Elementary Statistics)
4. Students who enroll at Ashworth College under this agreement within 6 months of
graduating from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College will receive 5% discount
on tuition costs of RN to BSN program.
C. Implementation of the Agreement
1. Ashworth College and Dabney S. Lancaster Community College will review this
agreement every three years. Ashworth College and Dabney S. Lancaster will
designate an individual to serve as the liaison for the purposes of monitoring this
agreement.

2. Ashworth College and Dabney S. Lancaster Community College agree to assist each
other in promoting this agreement appropriately in their respective promotional
materials, events, web sites, reports and through the sharing of mailing lists.
3. This agreement will remain in effect until terminated by either party on ninety (90)
days written notice. In the event that this agreement is terminated, the terms of the
agreement contained herein will remain in effect for the maximum transitional period
of two (2) years to accommodate students already enrolled under the agreement.
