This is the third in a series of informational bulletins leading up to Horsey Hundred 2017. You
can access this informational bulletin as well as previous bulletins at any time by going to
www.horseyhundred.com and scrolling down to the “Horsey e-blasts” button. Today’s bulletin
includes information about our vendor expo, the menu for Saturday and Sunday lunches on
campus, information about how to sign up for our emergency notification system, Saturday
evening happenings in Georgetown and Midway, and information about the Georgetown
Community Roll on Saturday morning, a new event we’re adding this year in conjunction with
the Horsey Hundred.
Emergency Notification Service Available for Horsey Hundred Participants
The Bluegrass Cycling Club is pleased to announce that we are teaming up with the Woodford
County Emergency Management Agency to offer an emergency alert notification system Horsey
Hundred weekend. You can sign up using the link on the front page of our website,
immediately below the scrolling photographs.
Lunch Fare on Saturday and Sunday
We thought you might like to know what you have to look forward to after you’ve finished your
ride and returned to Georgetown College on Saturday and Sunday. We think you will be
pleased with your options!
SATURDAY – HOURS 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Included with your registration)
 All food will be served inside the campus dining hall, although seating will be available
both inside and outside, as has been the case in the past.

SUNDAY – HOURS 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Included with your registration)

The First Annual Georgetown Community Bike Roll -Saturday May 27
The Bluegrass Cycling Club is teaming up with the City of Georgetown and the Georgetown
Scott County Tourism Office to offer the first ever Georgetown Community Roll. The
Community Roll will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. in conjunction with the 40th
Annual Horsey Hundred. The Community Roll will begin at the same place as the Horsey
Hundred - Giddings Circle on the campus of Georgetown College. Details are as follows:
 3.1 mile course in downtown Georgetown with closed roads
 Police officers on bikes will accompany the riders and one of the bicycle officers will
provide a safety talk before the ride
 Registration begins at 10 am with the ride departing at 11 am
 All participants will have the opportunity for a chance to win a bike - We will have 1 adult
bike and 2 kids bikes, along with helmets!
 Prior to the ride, there will be face painting, a selfie/photo booth, and balloon animals,
along with a DJ providing music and encouragement
 Georgetown Parks & Recreation will provide water and fruit before the ride
HORSEY RIDERS PLEASE NOTE:
 PARKING WILL BE RESERVED FOR COMMUNITY ROLL PARTICIPANTS IN THE LOT AT
GEORGETOWN BAPTIST CHURCH - WE WILL HAVE SIGNS AND A VOLUNTEER THERE ON
SATURDAY MORNING - PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THIS LOT!
 BEGINNING AROUND 10:45 AM, SEVERAL STREETS AROUND CAMPUS WILL BE CLOSED FOR
ABOUT AN HOUR. MOST OF YOU WILL BE ON YOUR BIKES AND RIDING BY THEN, BUT IN CASE
YOU PLANNED A LATER START, NOTE THAT PARTS OF COLLEGE STREET, MILITARY STREET,
EAST JACKSON STREET, SOUTH MULBERRY STREET, AND SOUTH HAMILTON STREET WILL BE
CLOSED DURING THE EVENT
2017 Horsey Hundred Vendor Expo!!
The Horsey Hundred Vendor Expo will be open on Friday from 2:00 p.m. til 9:30 p.m., and some
vendors will also be around on Saturday (please check with individual vendors about their
Saturday status if you plan to wait to make a purchase)
Make sure you save some time to visit our great vendors in the George H.W. Bush Center for
Fitness directly across from registration. A partial list of who will be there is below. For more

Saturday Evening Entertainment in Midway and Georgetown
The communities of Georgetown and Midway will be rolling out the red carpet for Horsey
Hundred participants on Saturday evening so make plans to attend one or both of the block
parties. Each party will feature a raffle/prize drawing for Horsey participants (you will be able
to pick up a raffle ticket on-site at each block party and you must be present to win) including a
great TimBike2 bag and other items from local merchants.
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Midway Saturday Block Party: Meet Me In Midway on Saturday, May
27th during and after the Horsey Hundred for a block party! Live music by Larry Corey and the
Passport Band from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Unique Downtown Midway Shops are open during the day. Darlin' Jeans, Mezzo, Grey Goose,
and Heirloom restaurants are open until 10:00 pm Saturday evening. Midway is 15 minutes
from Georgetown College. Take US 62 south to I-64 west, Exit 65. www.meetmeinmidway.com
7:00 - 10:00 PM - Party on the Square in Georgetown: Join the Georgetown/Scott County
Tourism Commission as we kick off our annual summer concert series, “Party on the Square” in
Historic Downtown Georgetown. Featuring the Donnie Brook Band, a high-energy band that
performs a variety of music. Sit back in a lawn chair or dance the night away after a long day of
biking with 1960's tunes from Johnny Cash to the infamous Journey. Enjoy food from Red State
BBQ, Spotz Gelato and Others. The Red State Taps Brew Crew will have local craft brews. Prizes
and Giveaways. Must be present to win. Shop, Dine, and Party in Georgetown!
