Happiness Is II
Crow Island
We kept the fun going during our Camp Olympics week
at Happiness Is II -- Crow Island!
Although we had some rain at the tail end of our first
beach day, we managed to have a full morning of fun!
We splashed around in the lake, built rivers and castles in
the sand, and played all over the playgrounds, water
table, and huge sprinkler!
Tuesday made up for Monday’s rain by giving us a
beautiful day. We took full advantage by heading
outside to play kickball, soccer, and group relays.
Wednesday we rocked out to a summer concert by the
talented Wendy Morgan! It was also our jersey dress up
day, so our campers were decked out in Blackhawks
jerseys, Bulls shirts, and Cubs hats as we spent time in the
gym playing line tag and counselors vs. campers
dodgeball.
Thursday was another beautiful day that allowed us to
run around on the blacktop with some intense games of
foursquare (even the counselors got involved!),
playground equipment, and swings! We also did an
awesome Blackhawks crafts where the campers
decorated our mascot and even glued feathers on it to
make them more authentic!
Friday capped off our week with an awesome water
day. The campers continued the sports week theme by
participating in water relays, a water balloon fight, and
fun games like drip, drip, drop! We finished off the day
cooling off with some freeze pops.
