Al-Anon Declaration
Let it begin with me.
When anyone, anywhere,
reaches out for help,
let the hand of Al-Anon and
Alateen always be there, and
-- Let It Begin with Me.
Serenity Prayer
God give me the Serenity
to accept the things I
cannot change, Courage
to change the things
I can, and Wisdom to
know the difference.
What a waste…..
Save the Date!
What a waste. All those years, my Higher Power
had been working wonders in my life and I had
no idea. Didn’t notice. Didn’t understand. Never thanked Him for all I had received. It took
many problems and many tears and eventually a
trip to my first Al-Anon meeting to open my
eyes.
What a waste. All those hours of trying to make
things happen that weren’t suppose to happen in
the first place. My Higher Power put up roadblocks and tore down bridges to stop me from
going in the wrong direction and still, I continued. Didn’t think. Didn’t realize. Never
thanked Him for setting me straight time after
time.

Literature, 50/50 Raffle
What a waste. All that energy spent trying to
control other people that my Higher Power was
already watching over. Didn’t see it. Didn’t
want to humble myself. Didn’t give each person
the respect they deserved to make their own mistakes and pick themselves back up again. Never
thanked Him for watching over them in a way I
couldn’t.

What a waste. All that worry over anticipated
horrors. Didn’t trust. Didn’t have faith. Never
thanked Him for being there with me every step
of the way and clearing the path of any problems
if would only let him. If I would only see the
signs, recognize His presence, and let Him do the
work.
Step 11:
Sought through prayer and meditation to
improve our conscious contact with God as we
understood Him, praying only for knowledge of
His will for us and the power to carry that out.
What a waste. Hours and hours of fear that
things wouldn’t work out. Worked to change the
inevitable. Denied what was right in front of me.
Never thanked Him for giving me only what I
needed, what I was capable of enduring, and saving the bigger lessons for later.
Tradition 11:
Our public relations policy is based on attraction
rather than promotion; we need always maintain
personal anonymity at the level of press, radio,
films, and TV. We need guard with special care
the anonymity of all AA members.
I try not to waste anything anymore. I want to
accept it all, good and bad, highs and lows, as a
part of what my Higher Power intended from the
start….before I thought I knew everything.
Concept 11:
The World Service Office is composed of selected
committees, executives and staff members.

E.V.I.C Incorporation and Office Technology Upgrade
The East Valley Information Center is continuing to progress with incorporating as a non-profit
in Arizona and applying for federal 501C3 status. This was voted on unanimously by East Valley
Al-Anon groups. The E.V.I.C. appeal
letter has brought in funds to cover this
cost of approximately $700. Now, any
additional funds will go to assist with
their technology upgrade. These graphs
show the progress being made on each.
Groups are asked to continue to discuss
this issue and contribute as they can.
Thank you to all who have donated so
far!
