I’d like to build a Sri Lanka full of peace and love,
I’d like to see Sri Lanka like a peaceful dove.
I’d like to teach my friends to sing in perfect harmony,
I’d like to hold them in my arms and keep them company.
I’d like to see all Sri Lankans standing hand in hand,
And hear them sing for peace up and down the land.
