We will remember We will never forget A collection of Remembrance Poems By Class 4JW St. George’s Central Primary School In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the dead, short days ago We lived, felt down, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In flanders field. Take up our quarrel with the foe; To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high, If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow We will remember.... The 11th day of the 11th month 2 minutes silence to remember The muddy battlefields, ugly The young men who died Their families They helped us to live Those brave soldiers who died Like poppies in rows and rows Dillon Boyce Age 8 IN FLANDERS FIELDS. God help the army, the airforce, the navy I hope there will be no more wars Poppies grew in the war Around soldiers graves So dark so dull where the soldiers fought In the trenches, bombed out Out came the poppies to make the land bright Dropped young like those who fought and died The red is to remember the blood for when they got killed We will remember all of those who fought for us The poppies became a symbol for friends and family and those who survived, devastated Tyler Rirrase “we looked after our people” Say the proud soldiers in the ground We will never forget Age 8 Ashlea Glen Age 9 We will remember....
