Single-needle quilting – fully automatic, quick, precise!
The Mammut P2A/P1A stands for exceptional quilting: it
combines the best sewing properties with high sewing speed
and excellent pattern precision. It is easy to use, even with
frequent changing between patterns and sewing materials.
It is adaptable and versatile. It is ideal for both very thick
and heavy and for thin filling materials. And it is available
with either one or two sewing heads. A cut above the rest:
the Mammut’s outstanding sewing technology. Where other
suppliers are limited because they simply convert and modify
already commercially available industrial sewing machines,
we provide a fundamental difference. In order to maintain
control of multi-layered, high volume, and also large-area
sewing materials, the Mammut P2A/P1A is equipped with our
specially designed Mammut sewing heads. We are the only
supplier with its own sewing technology. Your advantage:

Presser foot pause manoeuvre.
Spot on, unique, precise.
Unlike commonly used industrial sewing machines, the
presser foot of the Mammut P2A/P1A does not simply move
sinusoidally up and down. Throughout the entire insertion, it
remains in the lowest position and ensures the most constant
and even pressure on the fabric while the needle pierces in a
sinusoidal motion. This prevents the fabric from moving and
any diversion of the needle.
Your advantage: pin-point accuracy with thinner needles,
even with very heavy material and at high sewing speed.
The needle stroke. Especially
large with uncompromising
performance.
In contrast to the commonly used industrial sewing
machines with a needle stroke of 32 mm, the
Mammut P2A/P1A needle bar has an up-and-down
stroke of 50 mm or even 65 mm to maintain control
of heavy, multi-layered fabrics. Another benefit of the
unique Mammut sewing technology.
Your advantage: sewing without wrinkles or distortions and
optimal processing of even thick and very thick materials.

The sewing-head park position.
Practical, flexible, ergonomic.
When quilting with only one sewing head, the second
sewing unit is automatically guided into a separate parking
position outside of the clamping frame through the lowering
of the hook box. This assures the complete freedom of
movement of the first sewing head in the entire sewing area.
Thanks to the parking positions on both sides, the sewing
units are easily accessible and spool changing is quick and
efficient.
Your advantage: optimum accessibility to the sewing
elements and maximum flexibility by engaging and
disengaging a sewing head as needed.
Two sewing heads. Parallel, mirrored, efficient.
Manufacture two pieces of fabric in parallel or have one piece processed with two sewing heads simultaneously either in parallel
or doing mirror-work. All this can be done with the second flexible sewing head that makes Mammut P2A more efficient.

Adjustable in seconds, without tools: thanks to the
control knob with locking device, the Mammut P2A/P1A
can accurately adjust to the thickness of the fabric.

Another advantage of the non-sensitive set tolerances
between the needle and the hook: a belt drive that is

For a more accurate lateral cut, the sewing head is
equipped with a marking unit. It designates the smallest
possible distance between two panels, thereby reducing

The CNC control system.
The key to flexibility.
Looking for automatic quilting and the ability to
quickly change between different patterns in a large
sample pool? With the CNC control system of the
Mammut P2A/P1A, it’s not a problem. The electrical
and mechanical components that are used are always
test proven to be on the cutting edge of technology.
The CNC control system with integrated sequencing is
equipped with Microsoft Windows® and a large colour
screen. The control system’s convenient interface includes
a touch screen, along with a mouse and keyboard. The
quilting patterns are simply loaded from an external PC.
USB and TCP/IP ports are available. Implementation is
made possible by highly dynamic servo drives used for
positioning tasks, frequency-converter drives for speed
variations and energy-efficient compact drives.
