We believe that all members of the school

ethos.
Port Hacking High School has a stable
population of around 1140 students, 60% of
whom are from the local primary schools and
40% from out of area. The school has a long
established reputation in the performing arts
and strong connections with its community.
We emphasise a balanced education for our
students, with the focus on academic
achievement but as many opportunities as
possible in sport, and creative and
performing arts. We aim to produce wellrounded young men and women who have
the knowledge, the intellect and the ethics
needed to shape their lives.

Formative Assessment
A reflection and feedback tool is developed
students to reflect on their learning and to provide
feedback to teachers on the effectiveness of

Teachers use the tool at the end of units of work to
assist them in planning and programming.
Extended Response Writing
Plan TPL, collect before and after work samples to

Explicit teaching and support for students in how
to organise school diary and plan and complete
