April is a month in which we will celebrate our belief
and suspend our disbelief. We will celebrate our belief
in the risen Lord on Easter Sunday after several weeks
of prayer, fasting and alms giving during our Lenten
Season leading up to our Holy Weekend. Our intermediate students will be presenting the Stations of the
Cross on Holy Thursday, 1:00 at St. Paul. All parents
are welcome.
After our Easter celebrations, we will be suspending
our disbelief during our musical production of Anne
of Green Gables. Our students have been working
very hard on memorizing their lines, singing
beautiful songs and practicing their dance moves.
There is a buzz of activity around every corner from
dancing and singing to building sets and sewing
costumes. A big thank you goes out to all the staff
who putting in extra time and effort to make this a big
success!

Timing 2 Minutes of Tooth Brushing
We know we should brush our teeth for 2 minutes twice each day for good oral health, but most of us don’t brush for
that long. To make sure that children brush long enough, parents can use timers and watches. More and more people
are using their mobile devices for this purpose. Public Health England has even developed a free toothbrush timer app
that plays 2 minutes of music taken from the user’s device. This app called Brush DJ can also set brushing, flossing,
and dental visit reminders. It is available from the App Store and Google play. Check out www.brushdj.com for more
information, and let’s get brushing!

Dogs are wonderful pets and many times are considered
part of our families. Unfortunately, not all of our
students or all of our adult community members feel
comfortable around dogs. In addition, we have had to
remove dog droppings on several occasions so that our
students do not inadvertently step in the dog messes that
haven’t been picked up. (This is most likely from our
weekend or after school-hour visitors.) To assist us, I
am asking parents to keep their dogs at home or in the
car when picking up or dropping off their children at
school. Being a dog owner myself, I understand that this
request may be inconvenient at times, however, the
safety of our students comes first. Thank you for your
help and support with this request.

St. Paul is an Allergy Aware School
Sabrina’s Law requires that every school board in Ontario establish and maintain an anaphylaxis
policy to help students with serious allergies. To help us keep all students safe, please only send
Birthday celebratory food to school that is peanut and nut free. If you do send food to school that
will be shared, it MUST be accompanied by the ingredients list, otherwise, we are unable to share it
with students and the food will be sent back home. I apologize for any inconvenience in advance.
Thank you for your continued support.
I hope you
have a Happy
Easter!
☺
