Application method
Book an appointment, then lodge your application in person at that
appointment.
Application fee
£43.20 which is subject to change without notice, though some
nationals can pay a reduced fee. There is also a service charge of
£14.65 per application. Fees can be paid by cash, credit/debit
card, or postal orders to “Italy Visa Application Centre”.

The Embassy does not state an exact amount, only that you
should have sufficient funding for the duration of your trip. This is
usually between £30 and £60 per day
UK bank statements in your name covering a 3 month period. We
recommend that your statements be no more than 1 week old.
A recent (less than 1 month old) letter from Student Services
addressed to the Italian Consulate, signed, with the signee’s name
and position; confirming your course details, your name and date
of birth.
You need travel health insurance to cover any expenses that
might arise during your stay, valid for all Schengen countries for
the duration of your stay, covering at least €30,000.
You will need fully paid return flight tickets.
Fully booked hotel reservation OR original invitation letter from
your host in Italy (for a template click here). The invitation letter
must be addressed to the Italian Consulate, dated and duly signed
together with a photocopy of the host ID/passport. If the host in
Italy is a non-EU citizen, a copy of the host’s Residence Permit in
Italy is required.
