It also has many uses around your home as stepping stoanes, patios, pathways, grass-to-garden borders, lawn accents, and more. • Random looking puzzle shape for endless size designs and layouts • Textured surface and natural shapes and styles create the look and feel of sandstone • Can be dry set or set with mortar • Each stone covers approximately 1 square foot. PAT I O S TO N E I N S TA L L AT I O N Step 1 - Measure your area Width x Length = Total Square Footage. Step 2 - Excavate your area 2 inches deep plus the thickness of the Stepping Stones. (Remove all rock and debris) Step 3 - Using (2) ¾ inch x 5-foot metal conduit pipes will give you a 1-inch outside diameter. Lay the conduit pipes parallel to each other, fill area with Paver Base and drag a 2 x 4 board perpendicular over the metal conduit to level the Paver Base even with the thickness of the conduit pipes. Move the conduit pipes along as you go. Remove the conduit pipes and fill their void by hand. Step 4 – Using a square metal tamp, pack down the Paver Base. (Option: Lay down weed cloth on top of the Paver Base over area) Step 5 – Using (2) ¾ inch metal conduit pipes will give you a 1inch outside diameter. Lay the conduit pipe parallel to each other, fill area with Leveling Sand and drag a 2 x 4 board perpendicular over the metal conduit to level the Leveling Sand even with the thickness of the conduit pipes. Remove the conduit pipe and fill their void by hand. (Do not pack down Leveling Sand) Step 6 – Gently lay down Stepping Stones flat. Using a rubber mallet, set and level the Stepping Stones. Continue until all pieces are laid. Recommended to space between 2-inches and 12-inches between stones. Step 7 – Use a push broom to sweep Leveling Sand into the joints and remove excess sand from the Stepping Stones.
