Step 1 - Measure your area Width x Length = Total Square Footage.
Step 2 - Excavate your area 2 inches deep plus the thickness of the Stepping
Stones. (Remove all rock and debris)
Step 3 - Using (2) ¾ inch x 5-foot metal conduit pipes will give you a 1-inch
outside diameter. Lay the conduit pipes parallel to each other, fill area with Paver
Base and drag a 2 x 4 board perpendicular over the metal conduit to level the
Paver Base even with the thickness of the conduit pipes. Move the conduit pipes
along as you go. Remove the conduit pipes and fill their void by hand.
Step 4 – Using a square metal tamp, pack down the Paver Base.
(Option: Lay down weed cloth on top of the Paver Base over area)
Step 5 – Using (2) ¾ inch metal conduit pipes will give you a 1inch outside
diameter. Lay the conduit pipe parallel to each other, fill area with Leveling Sand
and drag a 2 x 4 board perpendicular over the metal conduit to level the Leveling
Sand even with the thickness of the conduit pipes. Remove the conduit pipe and
fill their void by hand. (Do not pack down Leveling Sand)
Step 6 – Gently lay down Stepping Stones flat. Using a rubber mallet, set and
level the Stepping Stones. Continue until all pieces are laid. Recommended to
space between 2-inches and 12-inches between stones.
Step 7 – Use a push broom to sweep Leveling Sand into the joints and remove
excess sand from the Stepping Stones.
