Adjectives describe nouns.
They make your writing more powerful because the reader
has a more vivid mental picture
Example The broken, haunted house sat on the peak of the
high hill.
Comparative Nouns compare 2 nouns
Eg bigger, smaller, taller
They usually end in -er
(unless it has 2 syllables – then you use more in front
Eg Joe s 11+ score was more impressive than Max)
Superlative Adjectives used to show how one
noun is different from all the others
Eg biggest, smallest, tallest
They usually end in -est
(unless it has 2 syllables – then you use most in front
Eg Joe s 11+ score was most impressive )
