Please complete the following reading assignments for the grade and class you will be in next year. All
English students will have a written assessment given by their teachers which will be completed in
class the first week of school. Students in 11th Grade Honors and CP American History must also read
the indicated book and complete the form at the bottom of the packet for the first day of class.
9th Grade – Students will read The Gospel of Mark and
CP & Honors English – To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

10th Grade – All students will read The Gospel of Mark and

Honors English – Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe
CP & Honors American History
Students will read a biography of a famous American of 150 pages or more and complete the
Biography Worksheet at the end of this packet.
