B"ginning - Apple Creek Private Preschool

Dear Parents,
We completed Letterbook W, our twentieth book, this
week. we learned to write capital w and lowercase w. we
also learned that the sound that the letter !{ stands for is
the sound heard at the beginning of watermeron and window.
The stories we read in our letterbooks are getting longer
and longer. Ask your child to read you the three-page story
which begins on page l-0. Be patient and give arl the help
your child needs.
We listened to several groups of poems about the
weather while we looked through the windows iltustrated on
page 15. The first group of poems were winter poems.
Brrrr. It's cold in the snow. The second group of poems
described windy days. The wind twirls the leaves and,
sometimes, people, too. The third and fourth groups of
poems told about sunny and rainy days. TaIk about the
pictures with your child. share your experiences about the
weather.
