This is a conversation between a mother (Ann) and her daughter (Liz) about
the menu for lunch. The daughter invites some friends and wants to prepare the meal
alone.
Liz: Hi! mum, I’ve had a look at my cookbook and I think I have made my
decision.
Ann: Really! I am glad you finally chose your menu.
Liz: It’s a very simple and sympathetic menu, I’m sure my friends will appreciate
it.
Ann: Well what is it all about?
Liz: First, a pizza with anchovies as a starter. Then, a risotto with meat and the last
and not the least, fruits as a dessert .
Ann: Hum, it sounds interesting. Do you know how to prepare all this?
Liz: Not at all. Can you help me to prepare the risotto please.
Ann: Yes, of course:
- peel and chop the onion.
- peel and chop the mushrooms.
- melt a spoonfull of butter in a fairly large saucepan.
- fry the onion and mushrooms over gentle heat until cooked.
- remove to plate and keep warm.
Liz: It seems quiet easy .
Ann: Sure it is. Then, wash rice and cook for five minutes.
