“Finish the Story” – Superhero story
Due Wednesday, May 24
Your story MUST have a title!
Then you must finish the story that we have begun. Don’t forget to wrap up all the details of
the story. In other words, don’t leave the reader hanging by not telling us what happened to
everyone who has already been introduced.
You may add new characters and you may name them.
You must include at least 3 lines of dialogue punctuated correctly.
Think about how your characters would speak to each other. This can be set in whatever time
period you think will work.
Final copy must be in ink on loose leaf paper or typed (no bigger than 14 pt. font with doublespaced sentences), and must be at least 1 page in length. Feel free to make it longer and add
illustrations if you would like. (Illustrations are optional).
HAVE FUN and BE CREATIVE!!!
This is how your story will be graded.

Footprints on the Sands
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
