Our Environmental Policy
We are the leading global supplier of lightweight papers and decorative packaging, dedicated to
providing the highest quality Tissue Paper in the most responsible “earth-friendly” manner. We are
committed to our customers, our employees, and the environment, and utilize certified fiber from
responsibly-managed forests and recycled fibers to create a premium product that is 100% recycleable.
Our Accomplishments
• Chain-of-custody certifications for use of fibers coming from responsibly managed forests.
• Installation of Wood-fired Boilers using 100% biomass energy utilizing recycled fuel that is Greenhouse
Gas Neutral, resulting in oil consumption reduction of over 1.5 million gallons annually.
• On-site Wastewater Treatment Facility that reduces contaminants by over 99%, recycles 30% internally,
then returns it to the Otter River clean and ready for the next use downstream.
• Established a Landfill Gas Generation Project that produces enough electricity to power 270 homes.
• Established Otter Farms, a 300 acre composting facility that eliminates our residual paper fiber from the
solid waste stream.
