Tonight’s celebration marks our 9th year for the Image Award Ceremony, Texas and is one of the Council’s signature events. The purpose of the Image Award is to recognize children•andDelegatestotheNationalConference,LosAngeles,California youth who have excelled academically, artistically, athletically, and in the area of leadership in school, in the community and religious institutions. Over the years, approximately 900 awards have been made to some of the best and brightest youth the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex has to offer. The youth are selected for the award by members of the NAACP, educators, pastors and other adults who work with youth.
