1. ChasetheAceticketswillbesoldeachFridayeveningattheRoyalCanadianLegion
“Grandona”Branch124,4237Hwy223,Iona.Ticketswillbesoldatacostof$5fora
stripof3(only)from7:00pmuntil8:30pm.Thedrawforthewinningticketanda
chancetodrawtheAceofSpadeswillfollowshortlyafterticketsalesendandoncethe
moneyiscounted.Adesignateddrawsupervisor(representativefromoneofthe3
foundingnon-profitgroups),willconductthedrawprocedure
2. Ticketsalesarerestrictedtothose19yearsofageandolder.TheLicensee(Legion
personnel),designateddrawsupervisorandthepersondrawingtheticket(tobenoted
eachdrawday)arenotpermittedtopurchasetickets.Allothervolunteers,including
ticketsellersarepermittedtopurchasetickets.Ticketsellersreservetherighttorefuse
saleoftickets.
3. Eachparticipantisresponsibleforcheckingtheirpurchasedticketsattimeofpurchase
toassureticketshavebeenproperlyseparatedandnumbersarelegible.
4. Onewinningticketwillbedrawnfor20%ofthedailyticketsalesandachancetodraw
theAceofSpadesfromadeckofcards.30%ofthedailysaleswillgointothe“Chase
theAce”jackpot,and50%ofthedailysaleswillbesplitequallywiththefollowing
threelocalnon-profitgroups:RCL#124GrandonaLegion,GrandNarrowsWaterfront
DevelopmentSocietyandCentralCapeBretonCommunityVenturesInc.Thedraw
procedurewillbevisibleforparticipantstosee.
5. Bothbeforeandafterthedraw,thedeckofcardswillbedisplayedinsuchamanneras
toconfirmthattheAceofSpadesisinthedeck.Cardsaretobeshuffled,spreadouton
thetable(facedown)andmixedsufficiently.Theticketwinnerwillthenputonefinger
ontheselectedcard.Thedrawsupervisorwillremoveallsurroundingcardswhilethe
ticketwinnerholdstheirfingerontheselectedcard.Oncethesurroundingcardshave
beenremoved,theselectedcardwillbeturnedoverbythecoordinator.Note:Thedraw
supervisormustrollupsleevesorwearshortsleeveswhenconductingthedraw.
6. IftheAceofSpadesisturnedup,thewinnerreceivestheamountintheChasetheAce
jackpot,whichalsoincludes30%ofticketsalesforthatday.
7. IfthecarddrawnisnottheAceofSpades,thecardisremovedfromthedeckandcut
inhalf.Onehalfisdiscarded,theotherhalfispostedfordisplayeachweek.The

amountintheChasetheAcejackpotthencarriesforwardtothenextdraw,adding
another30%ofticketsalesthenextweek,andsoon.Theremainingdeckwillbe
securedinalockedsafeattheLegion.
8. Thewinningnumberwillbeannouncedverballyanddisplayedvisually.Thenumber
willbecalledaminimumof3timesduringafifteenminutetimeframe.Ifnowinner
comesforthwithinthefifteenminutesattheLegion,thenumberwillbeannouncedas
voidandcannotbeclaimedlater.Asecondticketisdrawn,etc.
9. OncetheAceofSpadesisrevealed,thegameisconcludedandAlcoholandGaming
Divisionisnotifiedimmediately.Thismayhappenthefirstdraworanydraw
thereafter.
10. Intheeventofstorms/cancellations,theeventwillcontinueasusualonthefollowing
Friday.GrandonaLegionreservestherighttochangethedateofthedrawwhenother
Legionorcommunityeventsareinconflict.
11. ThecontestwillcontinueeveryFridayuntiltheAceofSpadesisdrawn.Intheevent
thegamegetstothepointwheretheLegionandpartnerscannotaccommodatean
increasednumberofparticipantssafely,advancenoticewillbepostedandaspecial
drawdayisannouncedtogivethejackpotawaytoaticketholdertoendthegame.On
thatspecialdrawday,ifthefirstpersonwhosenumberiscalleddoesn’tdrawtheAce
ofSpades,anotherticketwillbedrawnandthatpersonwillgetachancetopickthe
AceofSpades,thiswillcontinuetilltheAceofSpadesisdrawn.Onlythefirstperson
pickedwillgetthepercentageofthedailysales.Theotherswillhaveachanceatthe
jackpotonly.
12. Ifyouhavepurchasedaticketbutcannotbepresentforthedraw,youcangiveyour
tickettoafriendorfamilymembertocomeforwardonyourbehalfandcutthedeck
onyourbehalf.Pleasenote,ifyouareallowingpeopletopurchaseticketsonyour
behalf,shouldthejackpotbewon,prizemoneywillbegiventothe“ticketholder”.
13. Forpromotionalpurposes,anyChasetheAceprizewinner,willautomaticallybe
deemedtograntthehostinggroupsarighttopublish,throughalltypesofmedia
broadcasting,includinginternet,theirfullname,hometownandphotographwithout
anyclaimforbroadcasting,printingorotherrights.Anywinnerwhoispaidaprizealso
givestheabovenotedorganizerstherighttopublishanyadditionalinformationthat
theyvoluntarilyprovide.
14. TheAlcoholandGamingDivisionwillbenotified,assoonaspossible,ifthejackpot
exceeds$50,000.00.
