Thank you, Thank you!
In June, so many great things happened.
Thanks to so many individuals who have given us
their time and ideas. Dana McClelland on
equipment, Dan Parsons and Michelle Croteau at
Chase on finances, Tim Broderick from CSU's
Housing and Dining Services regarding
sustainability collaborations, Sue Tungate with
CSU's School of Social Work about cafe internships, Jim Devore with
Larimer County Health & Environment on heath code, City of Fort
Collins Project Manager Mark Taylor, and Russ Hovland and Noah
Beals from the City on planning, and Cindy Roberts, Mike Blank, and
Jerry Mitchell for helping us assess space for the cafe. We also
connected with many others at Hand Up Cooperative's Cheers to
Careers event, Be Local's Spring Summit, and The Growing Project's
Meet and Greet.
We've looked at a space that has real potential to be the home of the
FoCo Cafe! We're working out some details to see if it might be
feasible. If so, it will be a great space!
We've begun to receive gifts of equipment!
Mike Kane, district manager of Starbucks, for an ice machine,
Carol Bernard for all the plastic storage bins so we can easily
store dishes and equipment,
Heather McNeill from Columbine Health Systems for 40 dining
room chairs, and
Chelsea Seligmann and roommates for a large box of beautiful
dishes and bowls.
These items are all much appreciated! Please keep us in mind for
kitchen, dining, and office equipment.
