How To Send a Print Job To Save and Release It Later

How To Send a Print Job To Save and Release Later Tired of sending print jobs and then forgetting to pick them up, or having them disappear on you? You can send jobs but have the printer hold them until you are physically at the copier and ready to pick them up. How to do it: 1) Pick one of the Sharp photocopier/printers (the LMTC black or color printer, the workroom printer, or the mailroom black or color printer). Then click Preferences. 2) Click the Job Handling tab, put a checkmark in the Retention box. 3) Then set any other printing options like number of copies, page range, etc., then click OK on the Printing Preferences screen and then click Print back on the first Print screen. Your job will process but will not print. It will be held at the copier until you release it. To release it: 1) At the copier, push Document Filing. Then push Main Folder. 2) Push the name of your print job. 3) Push Print, then choose between Print and Save (if you think you will need to print this job again), or Print and Delete (if this is a one‐time job). Your job will print at this point.
