Shire Happenings and Events...
DINE FOR SUCCESS The Shire of Morawa and Shire of Perenjori are
putting on a FREE dinner and Strategic Planning workshop for all local
Sports Clubs, delivered by Ian Crawford. Formerly a Physical Education
teacher, Ian has taught and coached in the United Kingdom, France, Spain
and Canada in sports
ranging from Soccer to Shooting, Archery to
Abseiling. During time with mountain rescue in Wales , and as a personal
trainer in London, Ian worked closely with numerous elite team including
the British Rugby Union and Olympic Team. 29 June at 5:45pm at the
Morawa Greater Sports Ground. RSVP to [email protected]
SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN join in for a whole week of bike restoration
workshops, learn new skills to build or customise your own bike. Come on
down to the Morawa Youth Centre from Monday 11th—Friday 15th July
between 9.30am and 2.30pm to be part of the BIKE DISMANTLE WEEK with
Dismantle Inc, and proudly brought to you by the Shire or Morawa and
the Local Drug action Group. Contact Jo at the Youth Centre to register

Please note: The Youth Centre will not be running a usual drop in program
this school holidays. The Bike Rescue project is offered instead.
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS The 2016 Morawa Art Exhibition is fast approaching and we are looking for volunteers. If you would like to learn skills in
ticketing, curating, customer service or would generally just like to help out then please contact Jo on 9971 1651 to see how you can get involved!
BEERS N BRUSHES As part of the 2016 Morawa Art Awards and Exhibition the men of Morawa are invited to attend an evening of Beers N Brushes. Come

VISITOR CENTRE GRANT APPLICATION The Shire of Morawa has applied for funding to upgrade the Morawa Visitor Centre through the Regional
Visitor Centre Sustainability Grant Program. The application requests funding to purchase items to help improve efficiency, customer
c
service and image of the
centre. This included new signage, computers, point of sale machines, new furniture, a laptop and television. Successful applicants

will be announced in the
upcoming months. Fingers crossed!
MORAWA DRUG ACTION GROUP—VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Come along to see how you can help change attitudes and behaviours towards

MORAWA JOINS THE GARAGE SALE TRAIL Morawa has just signed up to participate in the national movement with Garage Sale Trail. Garage Sale
Trail is thousands of garage sales on one big day - Saturday 22 October 2016. It's the biggest reuse and community event in the country! Garage Sale Trail is
powered by 163 local councils reaching over half the Australian population. Over 3.7 million items were listed for sale in 2015! So start collecting your
recyclable items at home and be part of the national initiative! Plus it’s a great way to make some extra cash! More details to come…..
