The attached Minute of Council provides for approval
being given By-law No. 524 of the District of North Cowichan.
This By-law authorizes the borrowing of a sum of
$50,000.00 by way of 25 year 41i% Serial Debentures finally maturing
in the year 1979 for the purpose of constructing waterworks for
the special benefit of the Maple Bay area of the municipality.
The By-law has been submitted to and has received the
assent of the electors of the affected area; the result of the
poll being 95 in favour and 7 against.
The By-law appearing to be in order I would recommend
that the Minute be approved.
