Congratulations on entering the 2015 Collingwood Family Fun Run and Walk. Please find below a list of frequently asked questions which will help you in preparing for the event. What do I receive with my registration? With your registration you have gained entry into the 2015 Collingwood Family Fun Run and Walk. To participate on the day, you will be required to wear an event wrist band which will be available for collection from the Olympic Park Oval (next to the Westpac Centre) from 8am-10am on Saturday 14th February. When do I get my wrist band? Your event wrist band will be available for collection from the Olympic Park Oval (next to the Westpac Centre) from 8am-10am on Saturday 14th February. Where will the collection area be located? On the Olympic Park Oval (next to the Westpac Centre) in Collingwood marquees. What time will registration pack collection open and close? The wrist band collection area will open at 8:00am and close at 10:00am. Please note the Collingwood Superstore will be open from 8am. Where can I park on the day of the event? There will be no road closures on the day of this event, therefore the car parks located around the ‘Tan running track will be accessible. The Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D) on Olympic Boulevard will also be open. The flat rate for Entrance D is $30 or $20 if pre-booked (https://prebook.mopt.vic.gov.au/). The club encourages participants to catch public transport on the day. Both Richmond and Flinders St Stations are located within easy walking distance. EVENT PROGRAM 8:00am On day registration, wrist band collection and bag drop open. 10:00am On day registration, wrist band collection closes. 10:15am Family Fun Run and Walk starts (please note this will be conducted in groups). 11:30am Fun Run and Walk concludes. Join us back at Olympic Park Oval for kick to kick, free face painting, giveaways and a BBQ supporting the Collingwood FC Foundation. 12:00pm Bag drop collection closes. Can I leave a bag somewhere whilst I am participating in Collingwood Family Fun Run and Walk? There will be a bag drop located in the Westpac Centre foyer. This will be a secure area where you can leave your bag. There will be a limit of one bag per participant. Will I see the players? The majority of the Collingwood Football Club squad will be participating in the Collingwood Family Fun Run and Walk. Please understand that injured players may not be able to participate on the day. Can I get photos and signatures with the players? You are welcome to ask the players for a signature, however please ensure they are able to continue walking with the group and don’t need to stop. This will allow everyone to chat with them as they make their way around. Will there be any food or drink available on the day? There will be one drink station located on the ‘Tan running track, however there will be no food or drink sold at the start/finish line on the day. There will also be a drink station located at Olympic Park Oval at the conclusion of the event and the Foundation will be running a BBQ to assist in raising funds to support the Magpie Nest Housing Project. Can I register on the day? Participants can enter the Collingwood Family Fun Run and Walk up until 10am on the day of the event. Where do I register on the day? On day registration will be located on the Olympic Park Oval (next to the Westpac Centre). Please note event day registration is subject to availability. Once registered, participants will be encouraged to make their way to the start line at the ‘Pillars of Wisdom’ on the Tan running track. How do I pay if I would like to register on the day? This is a free event for all members and supporters, however we encourage a small donation to the Collingwood Football Club Foundation on the day. Can I take a pram? Yes we encourage supporters of all ages to participate in this free event. Will there be first aid? Yes, there will be First Aid located at the start/finish line near the Pillars of Wisdom. If you need help at any stage of the event and you are not near the start/finish line please ask Collingwood Football Club staff/volunteers for assistance. Can I look up my results after the event? Please note results will not be posted. Will there be a toilet I can use before, during, and/or after the event? There are a number of toilets located around the ‘Tan running track which will be accessible on the day. These will be clearly marked for all participants to use should they wish.
