KNOWING SPAIN
Spain has about 504.641 square km and 46,704,314 habitants.
Spain has borders to the North with France and the Cantabrian sea.
To the West there is Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean. To the
Mediterranian sea Spain is border to the South with Gibraltar and
Morocco.
It´s capital city is called Madrid.
In Spain the main language is Spanish. There are other languages
too. (see the information on this page)
Religion: The most common religion is Catholicism. (see the
information on this page)
Spain is a member of the European Union. In 2002 the euro was
implemented as the common currency for most E.U. members. Not
all the European Countries have adopted the euro as their currency,
but Spain has.

KNOWING ANDALUCÍA
Spain does not have States. It has communities and
each of them is divided into different provinces.
There are 17 autonomus comunities. We belong to
the autonomus comunnity of Andalucía. In
Andalucía there are 8 provinces: Huelva, Sevilla,
Cádiz, Málaga, Jaén, Almería, Córdoba and
Granada.
We live in Sevilla.
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Our school is located in the neighborhood “Los Bermejales” It´s in
Lyon street.
Next to our school there is a big park where many students go play in
the afternoon.
Some students go to a sport center wich is behind the park. They
usually play football and train there.
The park
In Bermejales there are two more Primary Schools. Also, students
who want to learn more English go to the English Academy in the
afternoon. There are two main English Academies.
There is also a church where some students go on Sunday to pray.
Every Sunday people go to Mass.
Sport center
There is also a very well known book store whose owner is a dad of
one of our students. They usually have story tellers on the weekends.
They also cooperate with our school organizing contests and giving
books as prizes.
Finaly our neighborhood is very well comunicated with the rest of the
city thanks to the public transport: bus, metro, …

The Music classroom
This class is small. It has a wall that is
soundproof.
It has got a lot of posters with
instruments.
There are two blackboards: one is for
staves and a normal blackboard.
It has got one wardrove where we
keep the instruments.
In the Music class we play the
recorder and we read the Music book.
IT IS FUN!!!!!
The SUM
The Sum is a big room where children
look at pictures, watch movies, do role
plays…
The assembly hall (SUM) has got
many chairs because we do activities
as a whole school so many children
can go and sit at the same time.
It has got a stage. It also has a piano
and an overhead projector.
The assembly hall is very big and at
Christmas time we make theater
shows and we sing Christmas songs.
The Library
The library is small.
It has got different sections: comics,
books, 1st grade books, 2nd grade
books and 3rd grade, 4th grade
books, 5th grade books and 6th grade
books.
In the library there are books,
computers, planets, cards, fosils, …
The library teachers gives us
diplomas, organize story tellers in
english and spanish…
We write biographies and do many
other projects.
IT IS FUN!!!
The Gym
The gym is the biggest classroom of our
school.
It is very high too.
It has got two spaces: one small and the
other one big.
There is a bathroom next to the gym.
There is also a small room next to the gym
where the teacher changes her clothes.
In the small room the teacher saves
different objects: balls, cones, ropes,
ribbons, and other objects.
In the big room there are two tables to play
table tennis. There are also mats, baskets
to play basketball, tyres, benches, …
We play games in the gym. We also do
parties.
We play in P.E. and we play in the gym
when it rains.

There are two fountains, two porchs,
one zone of sand, trees, two goals

OUR NEW PRINCIPAL
OUR TUTOR TEACHER: ANA
Ana is our tutor teacher.
She teaches us Maths, Language, Science, Art and Alternative.
We usually have Maths, Language and Science everyday. We have Art and Alternative once a week.
We have the subjects in our class.
In Maths we write numbers, in Language we study verbs, in Science we study History.
Our teacher Ana has got short, black, straight hair. She is tall and thin. She has got brown eyes. She is
confident and kind because she likes children.
She teaches us many things that´s why we love her very much.
She is the best!!!!
THE ENGLISH TEACHER: STELLA
Stella is the English teacher. She teaches English to us on Tuesdays at 11:00 am, Thurdays at 12:30 pm
and on Fridays at 10:00 am.
She teaches one hour lessons.
She teaches in the English classroom.
One of the activities she does is the “School to School” project.
She is pretty, confident and kind.
She has got short and brown hair (in the picture is long but she cut it afterwards). She has got honey eyes.
She likes going to the cinema on Saturdays. She also likes reading. She often reads books at night when
her baby is sleeping.
She likes travelling too but she does not travel at the moment.
She doesn´t like sports because she is very lazy but she loves hiking.
She is pregnant right now.
THE MUSIC TEACHER: DIANA
Our teacher Diana teaches Music from 1st grade to 6th Grade.
We have got Music twice a month at 10:00 am. We have got Music in a Music calssroom.
We play the recorder and sing raps. We learn songs with the recorder too. Some songs are “The
Ghost Sebastian”, “Peace Rap” or “Pirates of the Caribbean”
Diana has got glasses and she usually wears bracelets. She has got straight hair, long and have
borown, half blond hair.
She is bossy and confident.
She´s a good teacher but sometimes she is bossy.
THE P.E. TEACHER: CARMEN
Carmen Vela teaches P.E. from 1st Grade to 6th Grade. She doesn´t teach P.E. in Kindergarden.
We have got P.E. on Mondays at 11:00 o´clock and Fridays at 9:00 o´clock.
The classroom is the gym.
We usually play “Bounce, Bounce” which is a game with a ball. We always run 9 minutes.
First day of the month we have free games.
She is tall and thin. She has got short and brown hair. She is tan.
She is bossy and she sometimes shouts very much during the class.
She likes running because she likes sports.
She likes high heel shoes because she feels pretty.
She likes talking because she is kind.
THE RELIGION TEACHER: MªPAZ
Mª Paz is our Religion Teacher at school.
She teaches Religion in Kindergarden and Primary from 1st Grade to 6th Grade.
We go to the religion class on Tuesdays at half past twelve. The lessons are one hour and a half long.
The class is downstairs, next to the playground door.
We usually use the computer and read books.
She is tall and bossy because she likes to give orders.
