The undersigned has the honour to
REPORT :
THAT the women prisoners whose names appear on the Schedule attached
hereto are undergoing sentence of imprisonment at Oakalla Prison Farm Common Gaol, in the Province of British Columbia, for, offences under Dominion
Statutes:
Visa the Inspector of Gaols has reported that due to the over-crowded
condition of the women's quarters at the said Oakalla Prison Farm Common
Gaol the said Gaol is unfit for the further incarceration of the said women
prisoners:
THAT it is deemed expedient that the said women prisoners be removed
from the said Oakalla Prison Farm Common Gaol to the Common Gaol for the
Counties of Prince Rupert, Cariboo, Kootenay, Yale, Vancouver, Nanaimo and
Victoria situate on Lots 1 to 20, both inclusive, Block 97, District Lot 343,
Cariboo, Province of British Columbia, and there be retained pending the
serving of their respective sentences:

;$.NDI TO RECOMIEND Ti-La pursuant to the provisions of sections 4 and 5
of the "Prisons and Reformatories act", chapter 163 of the "Revised Statutes
of Canada, 1927" the women prisoners whose names appear on the Schedule attached hereto, under sentence of imprisonment as aforesaid, for the reason
aforesaid, be removed from Oakalla Prison Farm Common Gaol, Burnaby, B.C.
to the Common Gaol for the Counties of Prince Rupert, Cariboo, Kootenay, Yale,
Vancouver, Nanaimo and Victoria, situate on Lots 1 to 20, both indasive,
Block 97, District Lot 343, Cariboo, Province of British Columbia, and there
be detained until discharged in due course of law or until further order:
AND THAT the Warden of the said last mentioned Common Gaol do receive
the said Prisoners and detain them until they are discharged in due course
of law or until further order:
AND THAT two certified copies of this Minute, if approved, be forwarded
to the Attorney-General's Department for transmission to the Warden of Oakalla
Prison Farm Common Gaol and to the Warden of the Common Gaol, Prince George,
