World Book Day - Share a Story Safeguarding

Year Three Residential
There will be a meeting for Year 3 pupils and their parents with Tom
from the Charterhouse Centre in the school hall at 3:30pm on
Tuesday 31st January.
Please come along and find out more about the centre and the
programme for the residential.
World Book Day - Share a Story
March 2nd 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of World Book Day. To celebrate this
occasion we are asking you all to do something ‘booky’ and Share a Story.
Between now and 2nd March we would like as many families as possible to take a
picture of themselves sharing a book and send it to us at
[email protected] together with a few words about why they
chose that particular book. It does not have to be a story book, it could be a comic,
cook book, instruction manual, guide book, the possibilities are endless…..!
We are also looking for volunteers who would be willing to come into school on
March 2nd to share a book with a class or group of children. If you think you would
be able to help with this activity please speak to your child’s teacher. Thank you.
If you or your friends and families have any Sainsbury’s
token’s, please send them into school. They are invaluable
in helping us order more ‘Huff and Puff’ and cooking
equipment. Thank you.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you are worried
about a child and would like to talk to a member of staff in
private, please make an appointment to see:
Mrs Wookey – Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mrs Smith or Mrs Alen – Deputy Designated leads
