Ages 6-9 WHITESHELL Junior Naturalist My name is Hi! Would you like to become a Junior Naturalist? It’s easy. Just work on the activities in this booklet and return it to us. Manitoba Parks will make you an official Junior Naturalist. On the back page you will find a place to check off everything you do. I am visiting Provincial Park Name 4 provincial parks and 1 national park in Manitoba. 1) 2) Dear Parents: The Junior Naturalist program is meant to be fun and educational for the whole family. Page 3 Junior Naturalist Notebook A naturalist has to use all the senses. Write down or draw what you discover when you use these. Your family can help! All parks are special. Why do people come to this park? Fishing? Swimming? Boating or Canoeing? Hiking? Others? Find something about the size of your fingernail that is alive. Draw it larger in the magnifying glass. Junior Naturalist Caution: Never taste or smell anything unless your parents say it is okay! I know how to play it safe. I always tell someone where I am going. You must be quiet if you are going to sit and watch the animal. Remember never go near or try to touch any wild animal. This is their home!
