For Annual C of C Banquet
Plans for the Beaverhead Cham­
ber of Commerce's annual banquet,
scheduled Tuesday evening, Feb. 23,
in the BUs Hall, are reported near*

During the year the Dillon V ol­
unteer firefighters answered a
total o f 53 calls—26 within the
city lim its and 27 rural. N o records
are kept on rural fire losses.
The total city losses o f 516,674
occurred on property valued at
5330,500 with insurance coverage
o f $213,500.
In 1963 the department was
summoned to 23 city alarms and
26 rural. Losses in the city were
listed at only $6,261.80 on proper­
ties valued at $768,000 and insured
fo r $500,000, Simon said.

spected Dillon’s new Eventide Rest
Home during Sunday’s three-hour
open house at the attractive struc­
ture, which is due to open opera­
tions within the near future.

Harold Peterson, Dr. John Seidenstieker, Dale M etlen and their
wives served as hosts fo r the after­
noon event which featured city and
county dignitaries in a brief dedi­
catory program at 3 o’clock.
Taking part in the program were

agent; Arnold Benson, local ranch­
er who guided the project through
its early stages; the BCHS Teen
Tones; Bob W hite, secretary o f
Geriatrics Management Corpora­
tion o f Billings; M ayor Philip Cottom , and the Reverends John Hay
and James Gannon.

ceremonies in the spacious dining
and recreational room o f the $350,000 structure on Dillon’s east side.
O fficials said 225 registrations
were recorded during the after­
noon, including couples and fam ­
ilies.

Deere Day, to be held at the Dillcwi
Ranch Supply Co., Thursday, Feb.

film program are all the 1965 ad­
ditions to the John Deere Farm
Equipment line, including plows,
tillage machines, drills, planters,
mowers, rake, crimper, crusher,
balers, corn attachments fo r com ­
bines, sprayers, wagons, Gyramors,
and alm ost a dozen new accessories
and attachments fo r the 110 Lawn
and Garden Tractor.

Shellon, Fuzzy Knight, Henry Gib­
son, and Lloyd Corrigan w ill ap­
pear through the film program,
m ixing light com edy with the 1965
farm equipment demonstrations.
In conjunction with the pro­
gram, Mr. Johnson w ill hold an
open house fo r displaying the latest
models o f John Deere tractors and'
equipment. Farmers are cordially
invited to see the machinery and
make arrangements fo r a demon­
stration on their own farms.
