In whatever role you have volunteered with TimeNorfolk, you are a valued member of our team and we hope your time with us will be both happy and fulfilling. Who we are TimeNorfolk is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity, centred in Norwich but reaching out to all of Norfolk. We are a Christian-based independent organisation. We have a Staff of three who handle running the organization, training and administration; a Management Team and a Board of Trustees. Each of the Staff members is linked with a Trustee. Our income comes partly from our supporter base and partly from grant-making organizations. Staff at TimeNorfolk About TimeNorfolk Our Beginnings The Charity was founded in 1997 and began operating in 1999 as Norwich Pregnancy Crisis Centre, offering free, unbiased, non-judgemental advice to women and their partners faced with an unplanned pregnancy, so that they could make an informed decision concerning the future of the pregnancy. Since Then Our work has expanded to include providing confidential, face-to-face support following pregnancy loss through miscarriage, termination or still birth; also, support and counselling in other pregnancy related issues such as infertility and pre- and post-natal depression. Why ‘TimeNorfolk’? Quite simply, time is the single common factor we freely offer people in all our work - time for people, both men and women, as much as they need for as long as they need it. Also more often than not, it is the right time for them to come to us to seek help. Trustees serving at Volunteers Luncheon Whatever your role as a Volunteer... What our clients and volunteers have to say about TimeNorfolk Helping others heal is wonderful and it also teaches me lots about myself and helps me grow. I have been a volunteer with TimeNorfolk for 8 years and it’s a great organisation to be part of. It’s a family who all care for each other and you have the opportunity to use your gifts and feel valued. TimeNorfolk created a sympathetic space to work through my loss at a time when it felt as though others no longer remembered it. I am so glad I came and used this wonderful service, struggling for 8 years has been so hard, but I feel like a different person now. Thank you for your kindness, help and advice throughout the past, very testing year. Until going through what we had to we would not have even known that charities such as yourselves exist. We thank you through and through. A Client’s Wedding About Volunteering with TimeNorfolk Working with young people and vulnerable adults Volunteers seeing clients will have to be DBS checked.
