ENHANCEMENTS
Student Directory for Reports
Modified the student directory in most reports to allow you to filter students by the special programs in which they
are enrolled. ﴾32626*﴿
Autosuggest Fields
Modified the program to retrieve the selected item from the drop‐down list if you press ENTER while the
autosuggest field is open. ﴾34592﴿
Attendance
Attendance > Maintenance > Campus > Campus Options
Added the following fields: ﴾32877﴿
TEA‐defined minutes:
The Minimum Daily Minutes field allows you to enter the number of minutes of instruction per day. The
TEA‐assigned value for this field is 420 minutes. It cannot be less than 420, except in rare cases.
The Shortened Minimum Daily Minutes field allows you to enter the minimum number of minutes per day
for a shortened school day ﴾e.g., scheduled early release/late arrival dates﴿. This is the default value which will
be used for the six early‐release waivers allowed for each district. The TEA‐assigned value for this field is 240
minutes. It cannot be less than 240, except in rare cases.

LEA‐defined minutes:
The Daily Minutes field allows you to enter the number of minutes of instruction per day for the campus. This
value is determined by the LEA and can be more than the Minimum Daily Minutes. It cannot be less than the
Minimum Daily Minutes. The campus must enter this value even if it is the same as the TEA requirement.
In the Shortened Daily Minutes field, type the number of minutes of instruction per day for the campus on a
shortened school day. This value is determined by the LEA. It cannot be less than the Shortened Minimum
Daily Minutes. The campus must enter this value even if it is the same as the TEA requirement.
Note: A calendar year cannot have fewer than 75,600 minutes, except in rare cases. Under no circumstances can the
total minutes be less than 71,400.

Added four new Day Type Selections to the Legend allowing you to manipulate school day minutes for weather

Adjust Membership is used when the daily minutes need to be extended or shortened. The minutes can only
be shortened if the LEA's Daily Minutes is greater than the TEA minimum of 420. The daily minutes cannot be
less than 420.
Make‐up Day is used any time a weekend or holiday is used as a make‐up date. The selected date must be a
Saturday or holiday.
Weather Day is used when the school day is canceled or shortened due to inclement weather.
Waivers are used to get credit for minutes lost to legitimate school closures. For example, if a campus closes
for an emergency, the campus cannot count the lost minutes of instruction, but the campus can get a waiver
to make up for those lost minutes of instruction.
As you adjust membership minutes, the Daily Mins ﴾cycle totals﴿, Waiver Mins ﴾cycle totals﴿, and Yearly Total Mins
fields ﴾below the legend﴿ change accordingly. The Yearly Total Mins cannot be less than the state‐mandated
requirement of 75,600, except in rare circumstances. Under no circumstances can the total minutes be less than
71,400.
Daily Minutes fields from Attendance > Maintenance > Campus > Campus Options were added to the top of the
page for your reference.
The printable version of the calendar, which is generated when you click Print, was enhanced to display in a more
printer‐friendly format, and calendar minutes data was also added.

The From campus/track ﴾left grid﴿ and To campus/track ﴾right grid﴿ must have the same Daily Minutes and
Shortened Daily Minutes; otherwise, the calendar cannot be copied.
When you hover over a check box for a To campus/track ﴾right grid﴿, the Daily Minutes and Shortened Daily
Minutes are displayed for your reference.
The Save to File and Update From File options were removed.
Discipline
Discipline > Maintenance > Tables > District Level > Court Order
Added the tab which allows you to maintain a list of discipline incidents that are restricted by court order. If
restricted, the incident will not appear on any other page or report in TxEIS. Access to this page is set up in TxEIS
Security Administration and must be granted very carefully. If you are granted access to this tab, you will have access
to discipline records districtwide. If you do not have access to the tab, it is disabled. ﴾33932*﴿

The button opens a pop­up window. From the pop­up window, you
can upload and save the image.

Modified the program to print distinguished and endorsements on the

Added criteria allowing the following tests to be displayed in the
Outstanding Performance on Assessment section if the student meets
the criteria for 2016­2017: (32553*)
ACT PLAN ­ if the student earned at least two of the four scores that
qualify for the college readiness benchmark score.
SAT ­ if the student’s combined Reading and Math score is 1250 or at
least 410 on the evidence­based reading section score and 520 on
the math section score.
PSAT ­ if the student was a commended scholar or higher.

Added the new SAT scores for evidence­based reading and writing, math,
and totals for test administrations beginning in March 2016, which are
printed when the Print SAT Scores parameter is set to A, B, or D. If the
option to print the best SAT score is selected (i.e., the Print SAT Scores
parameter is set to B), two scores are displayed if the student took the old
SAT prior to March 2016 and the new SAT after March 2016. (32672*)

Under College Readiness, modified the page to display three rows of
PSAT score fields instead of one: (32820*)
The PSAT Old fields display the highest combined, math, and
reading scores from PSAT assessments taken prior to October 2015.
The PSAT New fields display the highest combined, math, and
reading scores from PSAT assessments taken October 2015 or later
under the revised PSAT. This only applies to the PSAT 10 and
PSAT/NMSQT exams. Results from PSAT 8/9 exams are not
displayed.
The PSAT Section Scores fields display the highest Math Section
and Evidence­Based Reading and Writing Section Scores from PSAT
assessments taken October 2015 or later.
Added the English 3 and Algebra 2 fields to the STAAR EOC Assmnts
section which display the scale scores from the Test Scores application.

for TSI Exemption: (32820*)
SAT ­ Combined original Math and Reading Scores of 1070 with at
least 500 Math score and 500 Reading Score. Or, Evidence­Based
Reading and Writing score of 480 or greater and Math Section score
of 530 or greater with no combined score minimum.
ACT ­ Composite score of 23 with a minimum of 19 on the English
test and 19 on the Math test.
STAAR EOC ­ English III score of 4000 or greater, and STAAR EOC
Algebra II score of 4000 or greater.
