Introduction to Banham door furniture
As well as our locks, Banham door furniture is British made.
This is why we are able to offer a level of reassurance that
can’t be offered elsewhere. This offers more transparency
when it comes to the provenance of our products and the
sustainability of our manufacturing processes.
Increasingly the demand for British products is also about
the recognition of high-quality, high-end design as British
designers and manufacturers become internationally
recognised for innovation and quality.
Banham take the design of its products seriously and whilst
manufacturing a new piece can take a couple of days in the
factory, the work done in developing and designing a new
product or collection spans months, if not years.
The development of design technology has certainly
contributed to our ability to explore new design and the aim
is to produce products that offer excellence in both form
and function.
With this is mind we are pleased to announce our new range
of door furniture which is a perfect match to our door
lock finishes.

Materials
• Our products are manufactured using traditional, specialist hand crafted skills which have been handed down over
the years.
• Traditional skills are combined with the latest in engineering technology including precision CNC machining and
co-ordinate measuring.
• Our door numerals are cut to shape using precision water jet cutting procedure then a pre-polishing process to smooth all the edges.
• We only use the purest northern European solid brass which is locally sourced.
• The best practice is used at every stage for the utmost in
performance and durability so you can cherish your fittings
for years to come.

Prior to plating every product undergoes careful surface
preparation; each piece is polished by hand by
skilled craftsman.
The electrophoretic chrome plating process involves up to
34 processes to achieve the deep lustrous enduring finish
we require.
This process involves a layering procedure; firstly a base of
copper which provides the best possible adhesion for the
following layer of nickel which is finally followed by a hard
gloss coating of chrome plate to produce our renowned
hardwearing finish.
The polished brass finish undergoes the same surface
preparation and hand polished before an electrophoretic
ultra lacquer is applied which is subsequently baked at
170ºc to provide a highly durable hardwearing finish.
Maintenance
To help maintain the high quality finish, please clean with a
soft damp cloth. Do not use abrasive polish or cleaners.
