Consultants, Mueller recognizes the

NSF certification ensures our customers
that these products meet the highest
standard of safety for our water supply.
Mueller recently announced two exciting new Super
Centurion™ hydrant options available from the Albertville
(AL) Plant: a 350psi operating pressure and a 6-inch taller
“snow bury” option. The new Mueller® Super Centurion
350 fire hydrant complies with AWWA C502, is UL Listed/
FM Approved, and features a roller thrust bearing to reduce
operating torque under pressures as high as 350psi. The
“snow bury” option features an upper barrel that is 6 inches
taller, providing the hydrant with increased visibility and
nozzles with extra clearance from plow blades in heavy
snowfall areas. This option replaces the need to purchase
a 6-inch above-ground extension to meet nozzle clearance
specs of 24 inches.

QR Smart Tags on Hydrants
All Mueller and US Pipe Valve & Hydrant Division’s
Sentinel and M94 hydrants are now being shipped
with QR tags attached. This tags provides on-thespot, field access to each hydrant’s vital statistics,
including the model, nozzle and operating nut size,
bury depth, type/size of shoe, and much more.
Simply scan the QR tag applied to the hydrant
using a smart phone or pad, and gain web access
to links leading to all this information, plus catalog
information, general literature, submittal drawings
and videos. Free scan applications are available for most mobile devices that
have a camera feature – simply search the device’s application store, download
and install the scan application and you’re ready to go.

Canadian Valve Box Now Available for US Customers
We have expanded our product line to include an adjustable gate valve
box. The composite body is available from 3’ thru 13’ in 2’ increments
and is grade adjustable in the field with ordinary tools. The box can be
provided with either a 12” iron top or a 27” iron top. To complement the
gate valve box product line, we have reestablished valve box extension
stems, which are field adjustable as well.
