PROFILE
Boyco Manufacturing Co, commenced trading in 1962 as E.B.
Boyt & Co. initially producing a range of cloakroom fittings with
the addition in 1972, of our grab rail & leg support systems.
Our family owned company now offers a wide range of fittings
made to measure to suit specific site requirements, most of
which are fabricated & ‘hot-dip’ nylon coated in our own factory,
for a comprehensive clientele in the Education, Healthcare,
Leisure & MOD/Home Office sectors. Our products have been
successfully installed throughout the UK & Ireland, the Channel
Islands and as far afield as Limassol, Cyprus, Bahrain &
Novosibirsk in Siberia, and are renowned for their high quality,
durability & long term cost effectiveness exemplified by the

We believe that one of our most important functions and
responsibilities is the prevention of accidents and ill health.
We do not wish any of our employees or any other person to
suffer as a result of our activities or work processes.
To this end we intend to comply rigorously with all health and
safety legislation, Codes of Practice and best guidance and
work methods available. We currently employ Drury PSM Ltd,
a highly respected health and safety consultant as our
contracted advisors..
E N V I R O N M E N TA L
As a Company we are wholly committed to a sustainable
and environmentally friendly programme which goes beyond
mere ‘paper compliance’ and can be measured in real
terms by the following landmarks which are a witness to
our endeavours;
• In December 2001 we relocated to a new purpose built
office/factory facility featuring a low ‘u-value’ and
high efficiency energy usage specification.
• In 2002 we converted our acid catalysed timber lacquer to
a high performance (H.P.) water-borne lacquer which is
non-toxic and non-flammable providing a superior finish.
• We have a responsible approach to the procurement of
timber for our products. All our American White Ash is
sourced from sustainable forestry programmes and are
fully endorsed in accordance with SFI 2002–2004.
• Our ‘Hot-dip’ nylon 11 is a coating material derived from a
renewable source, namely castor oil which is obtained from
the Ricinus communis plant as opposed to other powder
coatings which are derived from fossil fuel oil.
• In January 2002 we invested in three new lower energy
usage industrial powder coating ovens to further reduce our
energy consumption.
• Our integrated fume & dust extraction systems have total
warm air return for effective energy usage reduction.

ANTI-MICROBIAL PROTECTION
‘Microbes are all around us’ - Some microbes, especially bacteria
present a high contamination risk as they result in the spread of
disease. In recent years, demand has increased considerably for
the products which help control the risk of bacterial contamination.
This is especially true in areas where high standards of hygiene
and cleanliness are both a requirement and a responsibility.
e.g. Hospitals, Medical & Care Centres for children or the elderly.
Our ‘Activate’ antimicrobial ‘hot-dip’ surfaces are hostile to
bacteria. Initial bacteria is reduced significantly by 99.99% after
24 hours of contact with the treated surface and is an excellent
complement to proper cleaning procedures being effective
against the following:
E. Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Legionella pneumophila,
Salmonella typhimurium and MRSA.
‘ H O T- D I P ’ N Y L O N C O A T I N G
All the steel products coated using our in-house ‘Hot-dip’ nylon
- 11 fluidized bed process have a finish thickness of approx. 400 microns
that is about 4x thicker than any other powder coating finish.
‘Hot-dip’ nylon has the following distinct advantages:
• Environmentally friendly - extracted from renewable source
and non-toxic.
• ‘Not cold to the touch’ - meeting the DDA requirements.
• Impact resistance - such that when test hammered the steel
tube distorts first.
• Abrasion resistance - about 500 x better than the best
oven-baked paints.
• Excellent hygiene properties
• Outstanding chemical resistance
• Class 1 fire resistance
• Electrically insulating
Available in 9 standard colours & optional anti-microbial silver.
GUARANTEE
We offer a ‘10 Year Guarantee’ on all our ‘Hot-dip’ nylon
coated products providing that the affected product proves
defective during the normal use for which it is intended due
to faulty materials or workmanship rather than being due to
misuse or fair wear & tear. This guarantee does not affect your
statutory rights.
