2012 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION BIOGRAPHIES Meet the 2012 Nominees to the CFCU Board of Directors KRISTINA BELETIC, CPA ‡ Kristina Beletic has served on Century Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors and Human Resources Committee since March 2011. She is a graduate of Kent State University earning a B.B.A. in Accounting. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with over 17 years of reimbursement, budgeting, tax and financial reporting experience. Kristina is also the Manager of Laboratory Business Operations at the Cleveland Clinic, responsible for laboratory billing and coding with a staff of 22. Kristina resides in Willoughby, Ohio with her husband, Tony, and two daughters, Isabella, 6 and Olivia, 4. DAVID CATTANI Mr. Cattani has been employed since 1994 as a Senior Claims Examiner with the US Dept. of Labor, managing workers’ compensation claims for federal employees. He holds a bachelors degree from Miami University, with a double major in Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management. Mr. Cattani has been a councilman in the Village of Timberlake since 2006, and is also the mayor elect. In addition to his legislative duties, he has experience chairing the Finance Committee in setting budgets and negotiating contracts. He also has worked on various committees, including Parks and Recreation, Village Hall, Zoning, and Property Maintenance. Mr. Cattani is currently the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for CU Center West, CFCU’s wholly-owned subsidiary. Previously he served the credit union as the chairman of the Loan Review Committee from 1996-1999 and 2002-2006. Other community involvement includes work on his church council, and as a leader in the YMCA Adventures Guides and Princesses. Mr. Cattani hopes to continue our conservative practices of asset management and lending, which are key to reducing our risk exposure during this period of economic contraction. He also wants to find ways to improve and expand financial product offerings and customer service, as we differentiate ourselves from retail banks and draw new members with our compelling mix of products, service, and low cost. RICHARD FRENCH* Mr. Richard J. French is seeking re-election as a Director. He has been a Director for approximately twenty years and has served as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary during his time on the Board. He is a graduate of John Carroll University and Cleveland Marshall Law School. He was employed as an Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1974 – 2009, and was the Chief of the Financial Litigation Unit and Deputy Chief of the Civil Division. He is currently self-employed as an attorney. He and his wife, Joan, live in Lakewood and have been members of Century Federal Credit Union for more than 35 years. Mr. French’s goal is the same as the Century Federal Credit Union Mission Statement; to provide our members with an array of secure, accurate, and competitive financial services in the most efficient manner possible at the lowest cost possible. TAMMY HOLTZMEIER Ms. Holzmeier’s entire professional career has been devoted to credit unions and financial services. In nineteen years of service she has held almost every position in a credit union including teller, member service representative, lender, collector, marketer, financial officer, chief executive and board of director’s member. Professionally, she has consulted and strategic planned with more than 50 credit unions around the country to help them improve their business and better serve the membership. Her motivation for asking for your vote is simple. She desires to bring a highly experienced, yet new voice to the volunteer Board. Diversity of experience, diversity of background, and diversity of professional opinion are the keys to continue to secure CFCU’s future as a quality financial cooperative. STEPHANIE MILLER* Ms. Miller has been a Director since 2008, and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Human Resources committee. Ms. Miller has served as Secretary of the Board and has been an active member of the Budget and Finance, Nominating, and Facilities Expansion committees. Ms. Miller previously served as Director of Sherwin Williams Federal Credit Union for nearly ten years. Ms. Miller has an extensive background in credit, accounting, and finance, and is currently employed as the Manager of Customer Financial Services for The Sherwin-Williams Company. She formerly held the position of Senior Accounting Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Ms. Miller holds a bachelors degree in Economics from Hiram College and a Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. Ms. Miller is committed to ensuring that CFCU remains a premier financial institution by providing sound guidance and effective governance. BETSY RUSS Betsy Russ is a current member of the Board of Trustees of CU Center West, Century Federal Credit Union’s wholly-owned subsidiary. While employed by CFCU from 1996-2006, she took charge of CFCU’s certificate of deposit investments by purchasing over 150 jumbo certificates, grew the income and grew the bottom line to benefit all stakeholders – you the members. She is knowledgeable in all areas of Century Federal Credit Union’s operations. Within NCUA regulations, she is dedicated to improving the return to the members in both dividends and reduced interest rates to members for loans. Believing in the credit union movement and industry as a whole, Betsy pledges to be a trustworthy, prudent steward of your funds at Century Federal Credit Union.
