SPARKLING
G
B
Paul Louis Sparkling Blanc de Blancs
10
37
The Loire Valley is the largest producer of sparkling outside of Champagne. Made
using the champion of Loire, chenin blanc, this bubbly is vibrant, zesty with a crisp
dry finish.
2014
Pizzini Prosecco
11
39
From the home of Prosecco in Victoria, the King Valley. The colour is light, the nose
is bright, with length and balance in spades. Little peachy truth be told.
N.V.
Dominique Portet Brut Rosé
Bottle Only
52
Salmon Pink pantone colouring with no tongue of fish. Though it would go
terrifically well with the Market Fish o Day. Fresh strawberries, rose petals with a
fresh, dry and creamy finish. Brut Rosé is the new champers!
2014
WHITE WINE
G
B
S.Y.P. 'Monster’s Attack' Riesling
10
40
This Riesling from the Clare Valley doesn't put sugar on its Weetbix; it's sweet
enough! This wine comes complete with a heavenly perfumed nose and spicy palate.
2015
Riesling Freak 'No. 3' Clare Valley
10.5
42
Situated in a sub-region of the Clare, White Hut. Ripe lemons & limes, musk, and even a
smidge of mint on the nose. Dry, with a little tongue zizz. Clearly the awards came
because it is delicious!
2014
Adelina Arneis
12
48
An example of a slightly more refined wine from the dudes at Some Young Punks.
Arneis means “little rascal” in the Piedmontese dialect and this is a seriously
savoury/earthy rendition of that site and grape. Be naughty and give it a try. It is
like a bread breaking rustic meal, but wine....
2015
WHITE WINE CONT'
G
B
Cake Sauvignon Blanc
9.5
36
From the Adelaide Hills – the year was brilliant. The nose, flavoursome. Passionfruit
and citrus taste. Clean and crisp tongue. It loves to be quaffed!
2015
Cake Pinot Gris
10
37
It’s a tweeny from Adelaide Hills. Slightly lighter than a full blooded Gris. Crisp,
fresh oak exposure of a grigio. Little bit of peach. Little bit of lime. Lovely delicate
white.
2014
Habitat Pinot Grigio
9
32
Hints of pear and apple in this little drop. Soft texture, with a slight green apple
acidity on the finish. Clean, and refreshing little wine
2014
Babo Pinot Grigio
12
46
This Grigio shows all the hallmarks of classic Italian Pinot Grigio with grapefruit,
pear with white floral aromas and flavours. Dry as toast in the best wine way!
2013
Abellio Albarino
11
42
From the north-western corner of Spain, this aromatic grape produces a silky wine
that is very distinctive. The bouquet shows intense fruit with highlights of pear,
apple and peach. Harmony and zest in a glass. Hairy and my personal fav!
2015
Geppetto Chardonnay
9.5
34
Can’t say it better than the vineyard – “ good honest value and not tricked up with
heavy oaks”. Another fine wine from Crittenden’s Estate, Mornington Peninsula. I’m a
fan.
2013
Caledonia Australis Chardonnay
12
48
New to our fridges and a big - WOW! Multi layered, little citrus bomb, with a savoury
flinty tongue. Tastes like a classic chardy, feels like a new one. It’s from Gippsland
and feel the label
2014
Toolangi Chardonnay
11.5
Mild1y toasty with subtle oak and great crunch. If you thought you didn’t like
chardy give this a whirl. You will be surprised. It's not the box of chardy my ex
sister in law thought was aces.....

ROSÉ

Dominique Portet 'Fontaine' Rosé
G
B
10.5

Red berry nose. A delicious dry, elegant and savoury tongue. Super pretty.
2015
Spinifex Rosé
11.5
46
The perfect spring/summer wine. Lightly dry and refreshing with bunches of flavour.
A hint of Provence from SA. Put it in your face.
2014
RED WINE
G
B
Crittenden Estate 'Peninsula' Pinot Noir
13
52
Trifurcates the middle road of fruit, complexity and structure. From Victoria's very
own Mornington Peninsula. Ruby red, soft tannins with a lovely finish.
2014
Cake Pinot Noir
10
37
This year was slightly warmer in Adelaide Hills, bringing out black cherry cheer
and dark fruit flavours. A round, full bottomed Noir.
2011
Pizzini Nebbiolo
Bottle Only
79
Folks, it is not just the taste of this wine that overwhelms, it is the sense of well
being that descends upon you with the first mouthful. If you could bottle a
fireplace, a cashmere sweater, some cushion filled leather sofas and your favourite
company – it would be this wine. The perfect sitch in a bottle. Red cherry, plums,
sturdy tannins with a bright liquorice finish.
2014
Pinocchio Sangiovese
10.5
42
An admirably long finish that is both tart and refreshing with firm tannins.
Cherries, with the fine upstanding character of a true Sangiovese. Get on it!
2014
Los Hermanos 'Homenaje' Tempranillo
13
52
A Victorian produced Catalonian inspired wine combining tempranillo for rich berry
fruit plus mataro and garnacha for the spice and elegance. It means twins, and it
makes peeps dance - close and sexy!
2013
RED WINE CONT'
G
B
Cirillo Vincent Grenache
10
37
These vines have 80 years of bunkering down near Eden Valley in the Barossa to
bring you this incredibly vibrant, fresh, juicy wine. It has a savoury and earthy
spice finish; is completely more-ish and begs for another glass! Also zippo
preservatives.
2014
Maxwell 'Little Demon' Shiraz Grenache
9
32
New fav combo. Little bit o' spice and little bit o' smooth. Cherry and blueberry
aromas from the grenache, compliment the Mclaren Vale shiraz. Named after a famous
1871 Scottish scientist, James Clerk Maxwell. Google him....
2014
Cake Cabernet Sauvignon
10
37
From the Cab Sauv heartland of S.A. Blackberries, cassis and tomato leaf. The tannins
are tight and the fruit sweetness plump and ripe. A warm hug in a glass!
2013
Howard Park 'Miamup' Cabernet Sauvignon
12
48
Excellent wine… excellent vintage. This baby has all the hallmarks of the right
grape in the right place. Cassis, dark fruits and cedar oak on the nose, combined with
an intense and driven palate of dark fruit to create the winning combo!
2012
Voyager Estate 'Girt by Sea' Cabernet Merlot
11
44
So 62% Cab Sauvignon, 31% Merlot & 7% Shiraz. It is "deep and complex with poise, grace
and generosity" - so the word in wine and ballet circuits goes. Value rhymes with
excellent.
2014
Cake Shiraz
10
37
Bugger me if these wines are not just spot on for every varietal. We are very happy
to serve this as our house red shiraz. Little bit of spice, deep flavour.
2008
Mr Jone's Cabernet Merlot
9
32
Exactly as you need it. Little plum on the nose. Smooth, but crunch on the palette.
Soft, subtle finish.
2013
Chateau Tanunda Bethanian Shiraz
13
54
Repeated tastings made this a must have. Berries everywhere. Hint of spice and black
pepper with an elegant finish. 18 months of incubating in froggie and yankie oak
barrels. Just a treat all round.
2014
Teusner 'The Independent' Shiraz Mataro
11.5
45
Big, bold, brassy, dark and aromatic. It screams Barossa Valley and begs to be drunk.
Great fruit is what this wine is all about with a lovely tinge of vanilla oak. And
this vintage is better than the last!
