World Class Halftime Show
Dear College Football Fan:
Welcome to South Florida!
On behalf of the Orange Bowl Committee members, staff and volunteers,
it is our pleasure to welcome you to South Florida for the 2009 Orange
Bowl Festival.
The FedEx Orange Bowl has been a South Florida New Year’s tradition for
75 years. It has a storied history that includes hosting more national
champions (18) and Heisman Trophy winners (15) than any other bowl.
You are part of another historic first for the Orange Bowl Committee. Not
only are we hosting the FedEx Orange Bowl on January 1 for the 75th
time, but one week later we will host our 19th national championship in
college football’s ultimate game, the FedEx BCS National Championship.
We are dedicated to ensuring you experience all that South Florida has to
offer, for our 75th celebration is more than a football game – it’s a festival
of events sure to please everyone in the family. While you’re here in
South Florida, we invite you to sample our pristine beaches and
outstanding shopping venues, as well as some of the region’s most
diverse cuisine. We hope you have the opportunity to explore our
amazing area during your stay.
We look forward to seeing you throughout the week and thank you for
helping make our 75th Anniversary a memorable one. Enjoy your visit!
Sincerely,
S. Daniel Ponce
President and Chairman
