The beautiful mountain town of Buena Vista is
located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains,
between Denver, Aspen and Vail, and also near
Colorado Springs. At The Lariat, we raft, hike,
climb, fish, bike and ski in our spare time but our
first passion is mountain-made music.
THE SPACE
Roaring crowds in rocking amphitheaters can thrill
and inspire, yet nothing beats the intimacy of a
small, traditional music venue. The Lariat is a local
icon. Built in 1885, the brick Main Street location
is completely remodeled, taking its theme from
the Steam Punk era that was prominent in the
Arkansas River Valley. The space is packed during
the day with locals and tourists dining on a unique,
locally sourced menu and sipping libations from
our 100-year-old bar. At night, the 20-by-12-foot
elevated stage comes to life! The uproarious
blues, jazz, rock and funk music inside the venue
makes The Lariat hard to walk by and not
check out.
Musicians repeatedly tells us we are their
favorite venue to play. Bands can expect a warm
and hospitable welcome and a lively crowd.
Locals will tell you that The Lariat is THE place
for live music in the Valley.

ample space to relax before a show, and to comfortably
spend the night. The first apartment can comfortably
accommodate four, while the second with its queen bed
and convertible sofa bed is suitable for two or three. Both
apartments have large three-piece bathrooms and are
appointed with fridges and a microwave for convenience.
PROMOTION
Gigs are promoted through ads in the
local papers, social media, and posters
and handbills distributed in multiple
locations. Bands receive radio support
on local stations to further publicize
shows, and out-of-market advertising is
frequently considered to extend reach.
