Supporting Ethnic Diversity
at Accenture
Video Transcript
I’m Nellie Borrero, Global Inclusion
and Diversity Managing Director.
I am really proud to say that
Accenture is truly committed to
inclusion and diversity. At Accenture,
we take the widest possible view of
inclusion and diversity, going beyond
abilities, age, ethnicity, gender,
religion, sexual orientation, gender
identity, and expression to create an
environment that welcomes all forms
of differences.
Our workforce is made up of people
that reflect the diversity of our global
marketplace.

Our people are what makes us
stand out from the competition and
drive high performance for our
clients. Understanding the diversity
of perspectives, which may be
influenced by a variety of ethnic and
cultural backgrounds improves the
way we work together.
Today, Employee Resource Groups
for various ethnic diversity groups
exist across many countries.
For example, “Empowernet” is a
South African resource group that
fosters a sense of community and
provides a forum for sharing positive
experiences and challenges.
In the U.S., the employee resource
groups provide valuable
opportunities to network with
colleagues, discuss career
management and support the local
market initiatives.
In the U.K. the Accent on Ethnicity
Initiative brings together a number
of ethnic networks who develop and
implement initiatives to help both
attract and retain employees from a
cross section of ethnic backgrounds.
Additionally, we recognize and
celebrate diversity through events in
many locations associated with
Heritage Month.
I continue to be excited about the
progress we continue to make within
the ethnic diversity segment.
