Daily Itinerary Day 1: Sunday, June 7 Arrival/Orientation and Welcome Dinner Check in at the hotel begins at 3 p.m. Orientation and Welcome Dinner National Expansion Memorial. Then board a bus to experience the Gateway Arch, built as a tribute to Thomas Jefferson and pioneers for whom St. Louis was the gateway to the West. Stop at the Old Cathedral, site of the oldest Catholic parish west of the Mississippi, Day 2: Monday, June 8 Overview of City / Exploration of St. Louis Neighborhoods / St. Louis Cathedral Basilica Hear an overview of st. Louis, bringing the past into the present. Then enjoy a field trip to the historic Old Court House, site of the Dred Scott trial, and continue on to experience St. Louis neighborhoods. Enjoy lunch and an exploration of St. Louis Hill, an Italian-American neighborhood established in the late-19th century and birthplace of baseball greats Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola Sr. Later, experience St. Louis Cathedral Basilica and the world's largest collection of mosaics. and the location of the baptism of sacagawea's son. Day 5: Thursday, June 11 Forest Park Exploration / St. Louis Art Museum / St. Louis History Museum / st. Louis Zoo 1943 to preserve the family's collection of original furniture, fixtures, paintings, objects and thousands of pages of family documents. Robert Campbell was an entrepreneur and fur trader. Day 4: Wednesday, June 10 Jefferson National Expansion Memorial I Gateway Arch / Anheuser Busch Brewery and Clydesdales After breakfast, view "Monument to the Dream," a documentary about the engineering feat erecting this centerpiece of the Jefferson Explore Forest Park, site of the 1904 World's Fair, and one of the largest urban parks in the country, surpassing Central Park in New York City by 500 acres.
