THE HONGKONG AND SHANGHAI BANKING CORPORATION LIMITED (“HSBC”) CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS Name of Campaign hereinafter referred to as “Campaign” The Journey Campaign Campaign Period The Campaign commences from 16 May 2011 to 31 August 2011. Participants This Campaign is open to all new or existing customers who successfully sign­ up for the products listed below during the Campaign Period. Eligibility Customer will receive chance(s) in the lucky draw depending on the types of product sign­up. Eligible Product(s)
· Deposit products: Local Currency or Foreign Currency Savings, Current and Time Deposits account;
· Packaged products: HSBC Premier and HSBC Advance;
· Salary Transfer;
· Investment: Unit Trusts, Structured Note and Unit Trusts Monthly Investment Plan;
· Insurance: Life Insurance, Personal Accident, Credit Enhancement and Non­Life Insurance;
· Home Loan;
· Personal Loan: Personal Instalment Loan, Personal Credit Line and Personal Overdraft; and/or
· Personal Internet Banking: Online Application/ Purchase/ Sign­up/ Transaction. Campaign Details
· The lucky draw will be conducted on a weekly basis (“weekly draw”) and there will be a total of 75 prizes for the weekly draws.
· One Grand Draw Prize of Mercedes­Benz new generation C180 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY car will be given away through lucky draw chances pool and a winner will be determined.
· Winner of the lucky draw is entitled to win more than one of the prizes offered, provided the prizes are won from different products sign­up during the Campaign Period.
· Employees of the Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Campaign.
Applicable general terms and conditions
· HSBC reserves the right to publish winners' names, pictures and details for advertising and publicity purposes.
· All questions and disputes regarding the eligibility for the Campaign will be addressed by HSBC at its sole discretion. In the event of any dispute pertaining to the Campaign, HSBC's decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
· All prizes (including both lifestyle vouchers and Mercedes­Benz C­ Class Car) are non­exchangeable for cash. The winner of the Mercedes­Benz C­Class may upgrade the car model, accessories and/or specification, at their own expense.
· The decision of HSBC on all matters relating to the Campaign shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
· HSBC reserves the right at its absolute to amend, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice.
· HSBC reserves the right to replace any lucky draw prizes involved in this Campaign with another item of equivalent value without prior notice.
· In the event of any discrepancy between the English language version of these terms and conditions and any other version in other language, the English language version shall prevail.
· HSBC reserves the right at its absolute discretion to amend any aspect of this Campaign from time to time (including but not limited to terminating, discontinuing, amending, suspending, varying the content or duration of the Campaign) without prior notice, provided only that such change is not retroactive.
· HSBC's General Terms and Conditions and the respective terms and conditions for all products shall apply.
· In the event of inconsistency between these Campaign Terms and Conditions, the respective Terms and Conditions for the product being promoted and HSBC's General Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail in the following order: i. ii. iii. Personal Loan
HSBC Premier
· All customers who successfully apply (i.e. loan account must be drawn down) for Home Loan during the Campaign Period will receive three (3) lucky draw chances for every BND1,000 new loan amount drawn down during the Campaign Period.
· Customers who sign the Facility Offer letter with no draw down made during the Campaign Period are only entitled to one (1) lucky draw chance.
· New loan amount will be rounded down to the nearest thousand before conversion to lucky draw chances, i.e. home loan amount of BND8, 900 will be rounded down to BND8, 000 and customer will receive 24 chances into the lucky draw, whereas a home loan amount of BND4, 100 will be rounded down to BND4, 000 and customer will receive 12 lucky draw chances. · All customers who successfully apply for a personal loan (including Personal Instalment Loan, Personal Credit Line and Personal Overdraft) within the Campaign Period will be entitled to lucky draw chances to enter the draw.
· Allocation of chances will be based on new funds only and will not be applicable to customers who are restructuring their personal loan.
· Two (2) lucky draw chances will be allocated for every BND1,000 new loan amount. New loan amount will be rounded down to the nearest thousand before conversion to lucky draw chances, i.e. personal loan amount of BND8,900 will be rounded down to BND8,000 and customer will receive16 chances into the lucky draw, whereas a personal loan amount of BND4,100 will be rounded down to BND4,000 and customer will receive 8 lucky draw chances.
· Amount converted from Personal Credit Line to Personal Instalment Loan is not considered as new fund and customer will not be entitled to any lucky draw chances. · Customers who successfully sign up for HSBC Premier within the Campaign Period will herein be termed as “Eligible accountholder”.
· Eligible accountholder refers to customers who join as HSBC Premier and/or HSBC Premier Cross­Border and the account must be fully funded in Brunei with Total Relationship Balance requirement of BND150,000 and above.
· Each Eligible accountholder is entitled to a maximum of 13 lucky draw chances.
HSBC Advance
Salary Transfer
Investment
· Existing HSBC Premier customers (including sole accountholder and/or joint accountholder) or customers who have converted their HSBC Premier account in the past six months from the commencement of the Campaign Period (i.e. 16 November 2010) will not be entitled to the lucky draw chances. · Customers who successfully sign up for HSBC Advance within the Campaign Period will herein be termed as “Eligible accountholder”.
· Eligible accountholder refers to customers who join as HSBC Advance either their monthly salary must be credited into HSBC account or their account must be fully funded with Total Relationship Balance requirement of BND50,000 and above.
· Each Eligible accountholder is entitled to a maximum of 10 lucky draw chances. · Customers who have successfully transferred and/or assigned their salary to HSBC within the Campaign Period will herein be termed as “Eligible accountholder”.
· Each Eligible accountholder is entitled to maximum of 10 lucky draw chances.
· The minimum monthly salary assigned and/or transferred to HSBC must be BND600 and above. · Investment products include open­end Unit Trusts, Bond/Fixed Income Fund and Structured Notes.
· Each customer who successfully takes up a new “Monthly Investment Plan” (MIP) is entitled to a maximum of 3 lucky draw chances regardless of the investment amount. Such lucky draw chances breakdown will be two (2) lucky draw chances from the minimum lump­sum Unit Trust subscription of BND1,000 and an additional one (1) lucky draw chance for the MIP sign­up.
· Each customer who successfully takes up a one­lump sum investment product is entitled to two (2) lucky draw chances for every BND1,000 invested.
· For one lump sum investment, the investment amount will be rounded down to the nearest thousand before conversion to chances i.e. an investment amount of BND8,900 will be rounded down to BND8,000 and customer will receive 16 chances into the lucky draw chances.
· This Campaign may not be used in conjunction with any other Campaign and/or discount on initial sales charges.
Insurance
· Each customer who successfully signs up for eligible Life Insurance plan during the Campaign Period is entitled to six (6) lucky draw chances. The list of eligible Life Insurance plans are: § AIA Term Plan (5years and above), AIA Prime Life, AIA US Dollar Whole Life Special, AIA 18/21 TMAE, AIA Living Essentials, AIA Smart Growth, AIA Mortgage Reducing Term Assurance and IITSB Mortgage Takaful Plan for Home Loan (Referral).
· Each customer who successfully signs up for Non­ Life Insurance plan during the Campaign Period is entitled to three (3) lucky draw chances. The list of eligible Non­Life Insurance plans are: § AIA FlexiPA, AIA Child Shield Accident Plan, NICB Motor Insurance (Referral), NICB Travel Protector Annual Plan(Referral), NICB Fire Insurance, NICB Building & Home Contents, IITSB Motor Takaful Plan (Referral), TBA Fire Takaful, TBA Houseowner and Householder Takaful and TBA Automobile Takaful (Referral).
Deposits
· For eligible Life Insurance and/or Non­Life Insurance plan which was withdrawn during Free­Look Period or cancelled during the Campaign Period, shall be excluded from the Campaign.
· The minimum premium amount for AIA FlexiPA, AIA Child Accident Shield and NICB Travel Protector (referral for Annual Plan) to receive the lucky draw chance is BND100.
· The minimum premium amount for NICB Travel Protector (referral for Single Trip plan) to receive the lucky draw chance is BND100.
· No minimum insurance premium will apply for the remaining eligible Life Insurance and/or Non­Life Insurance plan.
· Lucky draw entitlement will be on a per Plan basis i.e. where customer signs up to multiple plans, the customer shall be entitled to the number of lucky draw chances within each Plan and subject to minimum premium amount caps as specified above. · All new and existing HSBC personal customers who hold and/or apply for Savings Account/Current Account/Time Deposit Account in both Local and/or Foreign Currency will receive chances to enter into the lucky draw chances.
· Each customer who successfully opens a Brunei Dollar Savings Account and maintains the minimum balance until the end of Campaign period will receive one (1) lucky draw chance.
· Each customer who successfully opens a Brunei Dollar Current Account and maintains the minimum balance until the end of
Campaign period will receive one (1) lucky draw chance.
· Brunei Dollar Time Deposit Account (BND TMD) refers to all Brunei Dollar Time Deposit accounts successfully opened with HSBC for a minimum tenor of three (3) months and above during the Campaign Period.
· Each customer who successfully opens a BND TMD with a deposit amount ranging between BND1,000 and BND10,000, will receive three (3) lucky draw chances for the first BND TMD opened during the Campaign Period. All subsequent BND TMDs opened thereafter will only be eligible for three (3) lucky draw chances for each BND TMD opened with a minimum deposit amount of BND10,000 only.
· All BND TMD deposit amounts will be rounded down to the nearest ten thousand before conversion to lucky draw chances. e.g. a newly opened BND TMD with minimum tenor of three (3) months amount of BND108,900 will be rounded down to BND100,000 and customer will receive thirty (30) chances into the lucky draw entries.
· Each customer who successfully opens a Foreign Currency Savings Account and maintains the minimum balance until the end of Campaign period will receive three (3) lucky draw chances.
· Each customer who successfully opens a Foreign Currency Current Account and maintains the minimum balance until the end of Campaign period will receive three (3) lucky draw chances.
· Foreign Currency Dollar Time Deposits Account (FCY TMD) refers to all Time Deposit accounts denominated in foreign currencies successfully opened with HSBC for a minimum tenor of three (3) months and above during the Campaign Period

Each customer who successfully opens a FCY TMD during the Campaign Period will receive six (6) lucky draw chances for the first FCY TMD opened within the respective deposit amounts as tabled below. Any subsequent FCY TMD opened by the customer during the Campaign Period will receive six (6) lucky draw chances for every minimum amount as tabled below.

· All FCY TMD deposit amounts will be rounded down to the nearest ten thousands for all FCY TMDs except for Chinese Yuan Renminbi (CNY) will be rounded down to nearest fifty thousands and Japanese Yen (JPY) will be rounded down to the nearest million before conversions to lucky draw chances.
· For any transactions which involved foreign currency conversion (i.e. Brunei Dollar to Foreign Currency, Foreign Currency to Brunei Dollar or Foreign Currency to another Foreign Currency), customer will receive one (1) lucky draw chance provided the minimum transaction amount is BND100 (or its foreign currency equivalent depending on the HSBC Daily Exchange Rate published). · All new and existing HSBC personal customers who successfully applied online for the following products will receive double (2 times) chances on top of the existing lucky draw chances as per laid out under each respective product’s terms and conditions: § Personal Loan, Unit Trusts, Brunei Dollar Time Deposits and Foreign Currency Time Deposits. § Transactions that involved foreign currency conversion (i.e. Brunei Dollar to Foreign Currency, Foreign Currency to Brunei Dollar or Foreign Currency to another Foreign Currency).
· Customer who sign­up for HSBC Personal Internet Banking service will receive 1 lucky draw chance.
· All new and existing HSBC personal customers who successfully performed the following transactions through HSBC Personal Internet Banking will receive one (1) lucky draw chance to their lucky draw chance(s) entitlement: § Cashier’s Order, Telegraphic Transfers and Demand Drafts.
