and cannot engage in concentrated practice
(i.e. with more than 4 balls) on any part of
them, in particular the greens.

Players must be a financial member for the

Club suspension relating to payments of
subscriptions or accounts within the 12month period prior to the start of the event.
A number of Honour Board events require
qualification followed by matches to be
completed on a particular day or over a
period of time. Members are asked to
indicate whether they wish to qualify on the

Committee.

event and have not received a Club
suspension within the 12-month period prior
to the start of the event. Major Events are
listed in the Members’ Handbook. Full details
of Conditions of Play are listed on the
website.

When play is suspended for a dangerous
situation, if players in a match or group are
between the play of two holes, they must
not resume play until the resumption of play
has been ordered. If they are in the process
of playing a hole, they must discontinue play
immediately and not resume play until the
resumption of play has been ordered. If a
player fails to discontinue play immediately,
he is disqualified, unless circumstances
warrant waiving the penalty as provided in
Rule of Golf 33-7.
The signal for suspending play due to a
dangerous situation will be a prolonged note
of the siren.
Suspension of play due to a Dangerous
Condition will be taken by either;
 a member of the Tournament Committee if
in place for the event or,
 the Golf Services Department or appointee
for general events and social play, as the
authorised representative.
The decision to remove trees from the golf
courses lies entirely with the Club Board. If
after consideration of a request the Club
Board agrees to remove trees from the golf
course the following will apply:
 The affected residential property owners
will be required to reimburse the golf club
the full cost to remove the trees and
rehabilitate the area.
 If the Board decides that new plantings are
to be made in the area, the affected property
owners will be required to reimburse the golf
club the full cost of the plants.
 If no trees are to be planted the affected
property owners will be required to make a
contribution to the golf course maintenance
“beautification budget”, to be used
elsewhere on the course. The amount will be
agreed with the residents but will be an
amount at least equal to the replacement
cost of suitable plants.

the same area or to not plant trees will take
