report of harassment by telephone. Contact made with the caller and the
suspect who was calling her. They were told to cease all contact and if the
problem occurred again, formal charges would be filed. The suspect
understood and said they would not contact the victim again.

turn into a drive and struck a culvert and left the scene. The vehicle was
not located and there was no property damage.

vehicle. They left the area.

report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival and further investigation,
Cory Steven Archer, M, W, 27, Winfield was arrested for domestic battery.
Autumn Lynne Hopper, was arrested for domestic battery, and criminal
damage to property. Both were transported to and booked into the
Cowley County Jail on those charges. Both have since posted bond and
been released.

Street for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, the driver, Leland
Evan Jackson, M, W, 41, Wichita was arrested for driving while driver’s
license is cancelled or suspended. He was transported to and booked into
the Cowley County Jail on that charge. He has since posted bond and been
released.

into the Cowley County Jail on that warrant. He has since posted bond
and been released.

Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Kansas Highway Patrol with a traffic stop in
the 11000 Block of U.S. 77 Highway.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 12000 Block of 131st Road for a
report of gunshots heard in the area. The caller advised a pickup truck had
left the area. Deputies stopped a pickup located a pickup truck south
bound on 111th Road and the vehicle was stopped a short time later.
Upon further investigation, the driver, Mitchell Alan Sturchio, M, W, 26,
Winfield was arrested for driving while driver’s license is cancelled or
suspended and criminal discharge of a firearm. Passengers Anthony Lee
Dale Hann, M, W, 30, Winfield and Jerry Marcus Banks, M, B, 21, Arkansas
City were both arrested for criminal discharge of a firearm. All three were
transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail on their respective
charges. All three have since posted bond and been released.
