Two Cranes, One Aisle
DUOSYS is a high-performance, super-fast mini
load Automated Storage & Retrieval System (AS/
RS). What makes it unique is two cranes run
simultaneously in the same aisle. It is more than four
times as fast as other systems and allows the cranes
to pass each other without interference to reach
every rack position smoothly and efficiently. Multiple
cranes are managed by a single off-board controller
for increased reliability.
The modular-designed
product allows multiple systems to be stacked on
top of each other, providing ultimate scalability.

Maximizes Throughput and Redundancy
Environmentally Friendly
DUOSYS is changing the way items are buffered,
sequenced and stored by maximizing throughput
over multi-shuttle systems, where just one crane
operates on a single row, limiting access and forcing
the entire system to be shut down for maintenance.
By operating two cranes in one aisle, DUOSYS
increases redundancy and can remain in operation
even during repairs.
The lightweight design of
DUOSYS helps reduce energy
consumption.
It
sends
regenerated electricity created
during deceleration to other
cranes through a regenerative
converter. Customers can also
deactivate one or more cranes
when utilization is low.
