Sioux Center Community Theatre is
announcing this year’s play: Our
Town. Performances will be the
weekend of June 3 during Summer
Celebration.
Thornton Wilder’s play Our Town is
a study in small-town characters and
celebrates what really matters in life.
The production needs people of all
ages: young adults, children around
age 10, and lots of adult cameo roles.
Auditions are Thursday, Jan. 19,
from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 21,
from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Sioux
Center Public Library’s northeast
meeting room. No preparation is
needed. These auditions are for age
15 and older. Children will audition at
CHRISTMAS TREE
COLLECTION
Brommers will collect Christmas
trees Jan. 3-6 on your garbage
day. Monday collection will be on
Wednesday of that week.
KEEP METERS VISIBLE
During the winter season, please
clear snow from utility meters and
keep gate openings free of snow
and unlocked. This will help obtain
correct readings and keep your
billing accurate.
WINTER BIKE TRAIL
MAINTENANCE
If you use the bike trail during the
winter, please be advised that it is
minimally maintained and we
caution you to use at your own risk.
The bike trail will be cleared of
snow as time and weather allow.

Rehearsals will begin in spring
and will be 2-3 times per week in April
and May, in the evenings and on

LIBRARY OFFERS WINTER READING CHALLENGES
The Winter Reading Program is
back at the Sioux Center Public
Library. Pick up forms beginning Jan.
23 and the program runs until Mar. 4.
This year’s challenge is based on the
All Iowa Reads book: Bottomland by
Michelle Hoover. Prizes will be
awarded at end of the program.
Ready to read through 2017? The
library would like to challenge you to
read and review 12 books in 2017.
Grab a punch card at the circulation
desk after Jan. 1 to begin. Prizes
awarded each quarter and at the end
of the year!

BRIDAL SHOWCASE GIVES A TASTE OF OUR BEST
Attention all brides and grooms! The
Sioux Center Chamber and Terrace
View Event Center invite you to
attend the 19th Annual Bridal
Showcase. The event is on Saturday,
Jan. 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Terrace
View Event Center.
Admission is FREE. Goodie bags
will be given to the first 100 brides.
Cake and punch will be served at
noon. A style show featuring
Chrysalis Bridal Salon, Kel-Brit’s, OC
Tip Top Tux, and Reflections Prom
and Bridal begins at 12:45 p.m.

SIOUX CENTER ARTS OFFERS COLLAGE CLASS
Who: Ages 16 and up
When: Monday, Feb. 6 and 13, 7-9 p.m.
Cost: $20
Location: All Seasons Center Senior Room
Experience the fun of art with paper and glue as you create a barn collage. The
class will be guided, but your piece will feel like your own. Sign up

SWIM, SKATE, AND GET ACTIVE AT THE ALL SEASONS CENTER
Start off the new year with family fun and indoor activities at the All Seasons Center.
■ Friday Family Fun Night! Bring the whole family, and everyone skates for just $25, skates included. 5:30-7:30 p.m.
■ Parent/Tot Swim Time: Fridays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Admission: $2/adult, $1/child (may use memberships).

■ Last Learn To Skate class of the season begins Jan. 17 and is held on Tuesday nights from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Cost is
