The Administration for Community Living announced that the theme for Older Americans Month is “Age Out Loud.” The idea behind the theme is to give aging a new voice to ensure that our elders are heard. By 2050 the older adult population is expected to nearly double, representing a new generation of older adults that are living longer and actively engaging in their communities. On behalf of Foodnet, we thank you for choosing to be part of our program, and we recognize all that you do for our community. KELLY Last month, we shared concerns about the proposed Federal Budget and possible impact to Foodnet. We are continuing to advocate and educate our influencers and decision makers about the important services Foodnet provides. Congressman Tom Reed recently announced his support for Meals on Wheels. He also shared publicly that his mother was a Meals on Wheels recipient. We continue to feel hopeful about the future of our services.
